That guy in the picture has probably eaten alone, with 1 person, with 2 people, with 3 people, with 4 people, and so on.

I eat a lot. I most likely have eaten leftover everything at some point in my life...

Can't say I have ever made a trip to a 'sit down' type restaurant by myslef. That always seemed sad to me...

I had a client meeting there a few months ago - did you know that they lowered the weights of their steaks?

It was only a few ounces, but the difference is noticeable.

Same quality, just smaller size for your money. Fucking Obamaconomy.

No, I didnt know that.

I havent been in a few years. Im going tonight and it occured to me yesterday, I had never paid for a Gibbons meal. Always went with parents, family, and for graduation type stuff.

I have absolutely no clue what the cost is. I assume 2 people will be 100-150?

Not lobster, but I've definitely eaten a starfish or two.

Thanks, Q!

I found the menu online, for some reason I pegged them as a place that wouldnt have the prices on the online menu, but they did.

Yeah, by now they probably don't give a fuck.

If you have a date with you, sit in the piano room and get there about the time the entertainment arrives - pretty jazzy and classy, in a Sinatra-esque way.

Do yourself a favor and get the King Filet. The ribeye and the strip are more expensive (and at least twice as heavy), but their Filet is a wonderful cut of meat that really melts in your mouth, and the bigger King size is thicker and more tender in the middle. Get it medium because their medium tends to be on the rarer side.

EDIT: Check that. If I could choose, I would get the surf and turf. That will run you about 75-85 per person. Their lobster is awesome.

Im going back and forth between the Porterhouse and the Filet

Im not big on Seafood.

Not sure.

But even when I was, I did not adhere to that rule. I consider it silly and outdated, but respect other people who do observe it.

I travel to clients for work. Is it considered sad to go out to lunch by myself while working? Normally my lunch is five minutes at my desk, but some clients close for an hour, so I have to go somewhere.

Sure have. I used to work for a company that was based in New Hampshire & I traveled there a lot in the late 1990's. There were a coupe of great local dives that I would always stop at for Lobster, Crab Legs, Clams, Oysters, you name it.
I still travel a lot & I get tired of entertaining & having Dinner with people so from time to time I look forward to going to Dinner with myself. I know where every Mortons, Ruths Chris, & McCormick & Schmicks is in the Midwest.

I've eaten lobster alone...it's wonderful to be able to enjoy the flavors without having to interrupt with pesky things like conversation...
