A little drinky, a little druggy, some more drinky, lots of driving.

Talented, but troubled guy.

Good thing we've got an authoritarian parental figure in Marc Trestman to take DJ under his wing and let him know that we trust and support him, but he's gotta EARN that trust. Our last coach certainly had a problem like that as nobody on the team saw him as the father that didn't actually skip out of town when he was 3.

This could be a really good signing but it is also very risky.

Today on CSFMB, the part of Elmhurst Steve will be played by Nas

The Bears need about 4-5 DJ's in camp and sort them out.

I think it's a valid point to bring up Trestman's ability to handle Williams, or any player for that matter. I supported the hire, and I believe the biggest issue for Trestman is his ability to command the respect of the locker room. He's done it before, but the guy he's replacing did it almost flawlessly for the better part of nine years, so Trestman has big shoes to fill in that regard.

I assume this is for one year at less than what urea her was offered as he rehabilitates his image.

If they can get karlos dans by I think the lb group would be upgraded over last year

And now Williams, a 2004 first-round pick, has signed a one-year deal, according to Pompei. It includes a base salary of $900,000, and he can earn a maximum of $1.75 million through incentives. None of the money is guaranteed.

Very solid signing.

For $900K this is a good get. I'm hoping the Bears sign Dansby &/or Smith too.

No player should ever be an asshole to the media or fans. I have zero tolerance for players who are jagoffs with the media or fans. I just hope that DJ can play. It wont be hard to be better than Urlacher was last year.

Berns and MattyBattyCola had a guy from Denver on today who said DJ was an ass to media and fans.

His Twitter is supposedly a something too. I guess he tweeted part of his playbook last year.

If this Guy wasnt a knucklehead with couple scrapes with the law he would be making 4-6 million. Hopefully that is incentive. Enough to be smart n play hard...great signing

Two DUIs and a drug suspension.

I, for one, would like to commend the Bears for casting aside provincial concerns like "character" and getting another Big Black Stud.

I'm struggling to understand what this defense is going to look like next year.

I think the Bears are thinking shoot outs all year. If the offense can keep up with the other team, that is.
