dammit i wrote my picks and my login timed out and even tho i copied it the shit didn't stick

al east - rays
al central - le tigre
al west - angels

wild card - rangers over your chicago white sox

surprise good/contending/ish team: your seattle mariners

most disappointing team: tie between the indians and royals, as people really want to pick them for being over .500 and thusly contending in the division/wild-card races, but i think they'll have ~monthlong stretches where they tank and they'll both finish below .500, although this arguably isn't a disappointment when you factor in the teams' recent performances, i just don't think they're going to step up and get past the .500/ish white sox and actually contend with le tigre in the division)

al mvp - prince fielder
al cy young - jered weaver
al rookie of the year - wil myers

nl east - braves
nl central - reds
nl west - giants

wild card - natinals over your los angeles dodgers

nl mvp - joey votto (although if harper hits above .275 and does ~25/25 or especially 30/30 he'll be in the top-3 of MVP voting)
nl cy young - strasburg
nl rookie of the year - ummmm.... uhhhhh.... well.... ummm.... how about that kid puig with the dodgers?

surprise contender/ish team: technically, noné (it's french) although one out of the rockies, diamondbacks, or marlins will finish within 5 games of .500

most disappointing team: cardinals (i think they're due for a ~low-mid 70s win season. wainwright isn't gonna return to his high 2s/low 3s ~20win form, lance lynn remembers he's lance lynn, jaime garcia shows that he's more of a pitcher closer to last year's stats than he was in 10-11)

ALCS: angels over rays
NLCS: reds over braves

world series: angels over rays

most annoying player shoved down our throats via the MLB/media hype machine: bryce harper (i'd say it was prolly trout last year, even tho it was technically deserved)

most disappointing player: zach greinke (injuries, high 3s / low 4s ERA with a slightly sub-.500 record on an ~88-90 win team)

most disappointing local player: since ian stewart is assumed to suck, i'll go with anthony rizzo having a ~.260/22/85 type season and not doubling up his ~.280/15/45 in 337 ABs last year. honorable mention to jake peavy and his newly restrictive paper)

most positively-surprising player: whoever the cardinals acquire for dirt cheap to fill in rafael furcal's spot @ SS. "search your feelings you know it be true" - darth vader

comeback player: drew stubbs

most "fucking cardinals" player: daniel descalso

royal most likely to be given a "cy" nickname by bernstein for repeatedly dominating the sox: jeremy guthrie (honorable mention to the reigning champion, cy chen)

7 out of 10 postseason teams. Not too shabby.
