Can't wait for me to get my hands on some of that Goose Island Summertime! Have you ever been to any of the Lodge's other tap takeover events? I tried going to a Darkness release three or four years ago but couldn't even find a parking spot on the street to I turned tail and went home.

I went one night when Founders took over. I had a KBS and a CBS on tap. Good stuff.

Yes. We got there early, and had dinner first.

Is this the old Hans Bavarian Lodge? I went to a few Oktoberfests at that place. Good times. Then the Munich Inn down the street for afterhours. Like Argentina, I never questioned why a sleepy suburb had such a huge concentration of Germans.

Their craftier stuff is ok. I'm not a fan of Summertime, Green Line, or most of their other stuff at all.

Their imperials are more than ok, they are about as good as it gets.

Their regular line of beers is just average. I will not be drinking Summertime.

I should be there by 11:00. Hopefully, that is early enough to get a table.

This was off the hook. I have to leave in a bit for a birthday party for 8 year old twins, with the wife driving, of course. I will post a review, and some pics later tonight, or tomorrow. Douchebag, you missed out on beers that absolutely blow.

That is Wheeling on Milwaukee avenue. Hans Bavarian Lodge closed probably 10 years ago. Munich Inn is still there though.

Bavarian Lodge is on Ogden, just west of 53, in Lisle.

I will get around to posting some pictures tomorrow. I got very little sleep last night, and starting drinking at 11 AM today. I'm gonna watch the rest of my bets cash tonight. My guy is getting a swift kick in the nads on Wednesday.
