True.

That relationship sounds like an episode of Maury waiting to happen.

I dont want to be a negative nelly but probably true.

I mean, If you dont care about the ring and you had a whirlwind romance and want to get married, go for it...

But her history suggests there will be issues.

Hey Boyd, you don't have to answer this question but do you plan on getting married again? The reason I ask is because I was talking to my barber about my future plans and he had a "don't do it" attitude. There seems to be a 50/50 split with the people whom I've talked to.

Oh. Well, I obviously haven't been keeping up with things.

Congrats Boyd. Disregard the question.

September 14.

It's not necessarily for everyone.

News of engagement and pending plans of marriage = Kid temporary amnesia

You may want to delve into that a bit more and analyze it. Marriage can be a beautiful and wonderful
thing for some. For others, not so much..... gotta just listen to your heart. You certainly seem happy
with this latest woman.

:salut: That is great. Sounds like you have been letting things come to you and not forcing anything.
The next step always keeps a man guessing until one day that lightbulb comes on. You'll do great. Kudos
on your happiness.

Marraige would be a lot better if the woman didnt turn crazier as soon as she was married. All men deal with a little craziness and we expect it, it just goes through the roof once you get hitched.

My experience has been if you can survive the first few years it gets better. But those first few can be a thing

So marriage is a crippling, but not fatal disease.

Does living together first make it easier? We're moving in next year after we're engaged.

I think it depends on the woman.

Well see, I think what changes is that zero fucks are given. I used to be bothered by the craziness and now I just roll with it. Mad about not taking out the garbage because you were in the yard working.... Whatever. Bitching that she cant find her shoes like it's MY fault...keep playing ninja turtles with Hank Jr.

I've always said moving in together > marraige. Once you are in the same home it's game on. Consider that the wedding day.

Yes. I didn't know it when I asked the question.

Every single question about marriage is based on one thing.

Do you have any doubts that you picked the right girl? If the answer is no, you should be fine.

Wait. Boyd put a ring on it?!

Kid, I popped the ol' question before we moved in, but we had planned on getting a house and stuff before marriage was even really talked about. We've had very, very few issues since we got our house (and they were so minor is silly we even fought), but I think living together is a big step in this day and age. You can love your significant other to death, but if you can't take living with them there is no way the marriage is going to work out. And that wouldn't be fair to the man, woman, or kids if there are any.
