well, Dan Bernstein, Northwestern's Biggest Backer (TM) thought Terry was off his rockers. So obviously it wasn't a given.

I don't get this logic - if Bernstein (or whomever) is ill-informed about the NW coaching search, does that add to Terry's credibility?
