I spoke to my doctor, a professor of Orthopedics, and he doesn't support what these two keep repeating. "Cleared to play" doesn't mean back to full competition. The timetable for Rose's return was originally 8-12 months, he is still on schedule.

Guys, it will be a full year next month since Derrick Rose originally tore his ACL in Game 1 of that NBA Playoff series vs. the Sixers at United Center. However, it wasn't until early May a year ago when Derrick actually underwent the surgery.

You have a valid point about this though. Bernsy can talk about his own ACL surgery all he wants, and they can tell Derrick to get back on the floor all they want until they're red in the face. That being said, not all athletes are created equal. There are valid arguments on both sides on whether Derrick should give it a go right now or wait until next season when he should be fully healed.

The man who signs the checks for the Bulls is still Jerry Reinsdorf. During the summer, Reinsdorf specifically told the Bulls Radio Network flagship up the dial that Rose has to be "fully healthy" before he gets clearance to take the floor again. Just because Bulls' doctors have cleared him doesn't mean the big boss has. Until Reinsdorf clears Rose, it's not happening and these 2 clowns should get the damn message once & for all.
