That's pretty easy to figure out. Just take whatever opinion is offered....doesn't matter who offered it, when it was offered, or what it's about. They will simply take the contrarian stance.

that, or they will argue themselves against what they feel is the prevailing opinion, even when it's obviously not the prevailing opinion.

I think what B&b are misunderstanding is that it's Rose's knee. Only he knows how it feels. It doesn't really matter what a doctor says. bernstein is one of those guys who acts like doctors are above everyone else (except possibly Jerry Reinsdorf). Is it possible that Rose knows how his knee felt yesterday and it feels better today so he finds it reasonable to believe it will feel even better tomorrow so why not wait a little?

Chris Collins is probably a better hire for Northwestern than John Groce was for Illinois, but Northwestern won't do as well as Illinois will, if that makes any sense at all.

it makes sense but Carm was better for Northwestern than Groce too.

I don't know enough about Carmody to say for sure. I do know that despite all the jokes about the horrid Coach K tree, "assistant coach from prestigious perennial contender" is a much bigger hire than they had any right to make.
