If you think Emery is somehow going to consistently trade for a Brandon Marshall to cover up bad drafting, you're in for a letdown. And if Emery doesn't ever draft a player comparable to or better than Marshall, then the Bears are screwed. You can't keep trading for and signing stud players. At some point, you have to draft and develop them.
It actually may have been a bad move. The rumor out of Miami is the Dolphins were going to cut him. The Bears could have gotten him for a lot less. There wasn't a huge market for him with his salary and he already wanted to play with Cutler again.
