Per the guys at Baldmove's Walking Dead podcast (www.baldmove.com - they do some great TV podcasts on Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Game of Thrones, etc.), this was the first episode with significant reshoots after the Glen Mazzara firing.

Knowing that now, it does feel kind of choppy in the editing.

I really dig that podcast. I do my best to turn away before the spoilers...

I listen to the beginning but they always have the mega-spoiler recap at the very end. I turn it off when they start that and then, after I watch the next episode, I go back and listen to it. Their recaps are always pretty good.

A-Ron does the Game of Thrones one with Mad Brew which is just as good. They also do one for Breaking Bad which is Jim and A-Ron. They have a new general TV cast also that replaced their Justified one. I wish they had just kept up the Justified Cast though.

I'm really into the Personal Arrogants cast that they added last year. It's really an easy listen and pretty funny.

I think this show is starting to wander over into the overrated area. Or at least overloved.
Yesterday's episode and last week's episode could've been cut down into one. If you're going to have a horribly predictable storyline at least keep it moving.

Tension is growing, and we should see a great final two episodes of the season. Do people actually want the show to shoot their entire load before the finale? Where's the patience?

Yeah, I thought last night's episode was really good actually. The hunting down Andrea scenes were pretty intense, and Milton is becoming a decent character. Also it is nice to see Tyreese be the exact opposite of Andrea when it comes to Woodbury.

The only maddening part was when Andrea left the Governor to the walkers. Why would she not steal his truck?

No keys? If I'm Phil, I'm holding onto those...

Fair enough. Is the fact that Phil's right hand man (forgot his name) is calling him Phil, rather than the Governor, a sign that he realized he's bat shit?

Never thought I could like another episode where Andrea plays a significant part but I agree wth above sentiments. Though, as rsg mentioned, the writers had to have Andrea have at least one dumbshit action.

Was the person who burned all the walkers the same who crashed the gates and unleashed them in the prison? It can't be Milton right?

It was probably Milton.

As for Andrea, she hasn't been written very well since the opening episodes of season 1 or so. I get what the writers were trying to do but they botched it so badly that it screwed up the character. Oh well.

I'm glad you liked it. I wish I did. I'm not sure what patience has to do with predictability. But I agree, the last two episodes will likely be very good. I'd just like every episode to live up to that expectation.

It was good, but I was disappointed Andrea didn't get killed.

Yep.

Rick is over his crazy.

There's no way they're getting through the prison story in the next week is there?

He used the phone to knock Michone out and the cord to tie her up.

And for someone to call his momma

I figured that giant metal stump he had was more than enough to do the job but good catch.

Really good episode. I thought Merle had a pretty brilliant plan. Found everything really well paced and
each character played a nice role. I hope the finale is 90 minutes but I really doubt it. Previews made it
seem like the group was packing up and leaving the prison which I would be ok with as that scene is pretty
much played out.

I enjoyed yesterday's episode very much. A couple of thoughts:

- I think Michonne is going to die next episode. Whenever a black character starts to get more dialogue and their story developed they die. It's been quite a few episodes since the writers killed a black character anyways...
- I was glad Andrea didn't show up this episode. I needed a break from seeing her do something monumentally nonsensical or stupid.
- Glen's character has become quite the vag. He used to be cool and do badass stuff.
- I was hoping we'd see maybe some conflict at Woodbury from the zombie burning. Looks like it won't be explored.

Seeing as how up and down the 2nd part of the season has been I'm afraid there's a chance the season finale could suck ass.

No way will she die.

It looks like they are gonna end the prison/woodbury fight next week, I'm not happy about that. They barely even scratched the surface on that. they could easily extend it to next year if they wanted and end with a cliffhanger next week.

My DVR says 65 minutes.

Damn... Watched Talking Dead last night and they had about a 45 second clip of the Woodbury gang invading
the prison and stopped it at a cliffhanging moment.

Show officially ruined.

Now I can understand why Mazzara wanted nothing to do with it anymore.

Show ruined because of Andrea's death or because of the episode?

Andrea's stupidity got her killed...failing to kill the Governor, yapping with a dying Milton when she should been trying to free herself. In the world of the Walking Dead, stupidity gets you killed.

I did think it was idiotic to have the Woodbury army turn tail and run when counterattacked by Rick's people...were Glen and Maggie purposely trying not to shoot people or do they suck at markmanship?

Ouch, this season finale sucked major ass. Walking Dead spent pretty much all 2nd half building up a clash between the prison and Woodbury and it lasted all of 5 minutes. The writers must've really had something against Andrea b/c they wrote her to be unbelievably dumb. Even her death was due to her incredible stupidity.

For how great the 1st half of the season was the 2nd half sucked.

I really enjoyed the finale because it kept in line with the cock tease that was the entire season. I wasn't expecting some climactic showdown between Woodbury and the prison because I know there are seasons left. Andrea dying made sense because she served her purpose and I think the writers honestly didn't know what to do with her anymore.

What I didn't like (or what didn't make any sense to me) was the Governor shooting up his people. I did not like it not because I do not think it's something his character would not do, but because the aftermath is so unbelievable to me. Shit, even his most loyal henchmen are giving him a total "WTF did you just do" look. I mean if his goal was to destroy the prison why sow possible dissension in the ranks by shooting up a bunch of your followers?

Other than that I enjoyed this finale much more than I enjoyed the premiere of GOT.

Governor isn't done, Carl is a badass, and Andrea gets got.

The second half of the season was bad. The finale was ok.

At least Tyrese is part of the group now.

I don't really understand everybody coming back to the prison rather than them just taking over the town which seems to have been a fairly defensible position with resources.

I mean, it's just the Governor and 2 guys coming after them now.
