Good or bad, today's match-up features two of my fantasy starters in an NL only league.

Go Cubbies. The battle for last place begins today.

Muskat just tweeted that six players are making their first ever opening day starts. Other than the obvious with Samardzija, it's Castillo, Rizzo, Lillibridge, Valbuena and Schierholtz. That's certainly a sign your team sucks.

Yeah, sort of, but some of them are working out.

Ya get 10 prospects and hope 3 pan out and 1 is reeeeeallly good.

Do you mean 10 prospects all at the same time or 10 prospects over 15 years - the way the Cubs do it.

Going to have to bite the bullet for the $20 MLB app again this morning. Bastards doubling the price from when they first introduced it. The ol' crack marketing theory.

Alverez, Jones, Walker, Marte

Walker and Marte the jury is still out, but looking good so far.

The same can be said of the Royals' lineup.

The Royals lineup is good.

Im not making any sort of larger statement about the pirates, its just rare and caught my eye. Usually you dont have ALL those types of guys. Usually there's a journeyman or free agent in there.

Even the guys from other teams are former big time prospects.

He cut his knee the other day in Milwaukee and the stitches apparently are right where the knee bends so needs to stay off it for a few days so it doesn't keep reopening.

I see a close game with the Cubs having the lead late. Marmol enters the game and proceeds to take a giant shit on the mound, gives up 3 runs, pirates win pirates win pirates win.

Pat Hughes blew the first call of the year. Said it was "playable, no...it's outta here..."
