this was one of the best gaming companies in the 90's. had a slew of great titles until it just became a star wars machine. still, great company.

They see big $$$ in licensing the brand to other companies. I hope they license it to Capcom, so we can get Street Fighter X Star Wars. You can't have enough brands VS Street Fighter.

maybe they'll license it to blizzard so another game never gets released...or is promised to be released and it doesn't happen for 15 years.

or they can license it to EA and have the game constantly crash.

Or they can license it to Sega, so we can have Yoda face Sonic in the 2014 Olympics.

One can only hope that they license and remake the X-Wing and Tie Fighter franchise.

So many good gaming memories from LucasArts on the PC.

Monkey Island 1-2
Loom
Indiana Jones
Maniac Mansion
Zak McKraken
X-Wing
Tie Fighter
Dark Forces
Sam and Max
Full Throttle

And on and on and on...

i still have my copy of "loom", complete with the audio cassette tape that had the soundtrack and a dramatization of the preface of the story.

that game was very unique...i remember beating it but i hardly recall a lot of the specific stuff about the game. i loved the parody of it in "Space Quest 4" called "Boom!". "just boot it up and watch it explode!"

There wasn't anybody good left at Lucasarts anyway. I think Starwars 1313 was the only thing in the pipeline. It's the 20 year anniversary of Tie Fighter, would have been nice if they did something for it. Would be nice if anybody did anything for a space combat game. Freelancer was the last one worth a shit and that was over 10 years ago.
