1. To take a personal opinion and assign it to a specific population.

2. To take a personal opinion and assign it to everyone, often with little to no evidence.

Noun
1. A prognostication or prophecy in which there is no basis in fact other than a belief that ones opinions reflect the general populations opinion.
Mitt Romney will win in a landslide.
