Chinook hops are associated with "catty" qualities. Simcoe is pine and resin like qualities.

I figured Chinook was more of a bittering hop and Simcoe closer to an aroma hop.

They can both be used for both. Usually have Alpha Acid content between 9% and 12% for both varieties. They both also have very strong aroma qualities and are used for late addition and dry hopping.

Nice haul.

I see that my Binny's had it yesterday. Doubtful I'm gonna be lucky enough to find it today. But they did tweet that they got in Dogfishead 120. Gonna walk over in a little bit and grab some of that.

Friend of mine got a bottle of KBS that will be part of a tasting / clean out the stash at his place tonight so I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully my cousin in Grand Rapids comes through with a 4 pack or 2 for me.

Got to try all three the other night. I liked Lagunitas the best. The place was really good. Must have had 100 beers.
