One of the most depressing things about this Cubs team was the whole Marmol situation. I know he is making 10 million dollars but he is just awful. Why even bring him North. Just pay him to go away like Eddie Robinson or Tim Thomas.

While it's true that Jason supported the narrative (I fucking hate that word now) when it came to certain topics, he brought a lightheartedness and fun element that left with him.

You've been on my channel. The segments about childhood TV shows, barber shops, class field trips, and other offbeat stuff like that were a fun part of the show that just doesn't exist anymore. THAT is what I'm referring to when I say that the show has gotten worse in Goff's absence. The show is pretty much no fun and 100% preaching from the soapbox. Goff added a balance to the show that simply doesn't exist anymore. We may have to agree to disagree on this one.

You know why there's no lighthearted moments anymore? It's because all the people they could poke at are either gone or off limits. No Mike North. No George Hoffman. No Mike Murphy. No JESSIE ROGERS. No Julie Sweica or Dan Jiggetts or Tommy T-Dub Williams or Dan Zampillo, count burritoula. All they've got left to laugh at in-house is Les. Mac isn't a real target anymore BECAUSE of Jason. So basically the show has gone downhill since they cant make fun of their co-workers anymore. Real solid foundation for a show to be built on right there.

COF's premise is terribly flawed.

Don't take that to heart Brogue. What COF is describing was at best 10% of what made the show funny. The only co-workers they really made fun of were Jesse Rodgers, Mike North, and of course Murph, all of whom have been gone since 2009. The show was still funny well after those guys' departures.
