Both have some great games and both have some really shitty games so I really believe there is no wrong opinion on this. With that said, give me Ray in the playoffs until further notice. Next week I could be on the Crawford bandwagon. My head hurts.

CC. Give Razor a few more starts, while CC can work out his issues and practice. Then ride it out with CC at the end of April.

It's as much about performance as it is trust. Ray Emery gets it done for me, Corey Crawford doesn't.

Crawford has a better GAA and Save% while facing an extra 166 shots. So...yea...

Numbers never lie, but I heard CSNC's Pat Boyle yesterday tell The SCORE's Spiegs & the Daily Herald's Barry Rozner that he thinks Coach Q might be leaning toward the veteran Emery come playoff time.

By the way, Emery gets the call in Minnesota tonight in goal.

Finally it appears that the Emery if now the starter. He has outplayed Crawford recently and it isn't close. If Crawford doesn't get his head right and improve his concentration, he may not be a Hawk much longer.

Okay, last 3 starts for both

Ray Emery. 92.4 Save% 5 goals on 66 shots
Crawford: 92.7% Save% 6 goals on 83 shots

YTD
Crawford 2.01GAA with .922
Emery 2.02GAA with .920

They've both obviously been good this season, but to say that Emery has been 'significantly' better lately is just flat out wrong.

Crawford had one bad game against the Blues and I really think people are taking his performance in the shootout and extrapolating that. Let's not forget how good he's been all season.

It's pretty close by those stats. I think it's a matter of trust at this point, guys.

The GF for the 5 opponents Emery played against used in the stupid sample:

Nashville - 25th
Nashville - 25th
Anaheim - 3rd
Calgary - 18th
Colorado - 30th

Well, apparently Q agrees with me. Emery has been the better goalie. He doesn't go to sleep mentally & let bad goals in like Crawford does. Crawford's technique & mechanics are screwed up as well. Right now there is no doubt that Emery is the more consistent & confident goalie.

At this point, I think you have to go one more year with Crawford in net. He is supposed to be your #1. If the Crawford from the majority of the three playoff wins two years ago against Vancouver shows up, you may be okay (though he let up one of the softest goals I have seen in one of those wins). I just don't have confidence that he can be the guy to win a series for you. Niemi more than anyone won the Sharks series in 2010. Emery may be able to do it, but who knows.

Emery gave up 3 goals on Sunday, and posted a shutout Saturday and tonight.

I'll let you get back to how wrong Scorehead and Quenville are now.

I used stats from both guys lasts 3 starts to show that Emery hadn't played better than Crawford in that time when SH said it was clear he did. That point still stands so I'm not sure what you are trying to say.

Your stats are incorrect.

Emery has produced shut outs in two of his last three starts.

In the other start, he allowed three goals.

Emery has played better in his last three starts than CC has in his.
