As NASCAR heads to the "Lone Star State" for the first Sprint Cup night race of the season, I'll take my chances with a driver who has won at Texas Motor Speedway previously. He also has 2 Top 5s & 5 Top 10s in the last 10 trips at this track. That includes an 8th place finish last fall in the AAA 500. He's my pick Saturday night in Fort Worth.

SHARK's PICK: NRA 500 (NSCS Spring Race-Texas)
#78 KURT BUSCH Furniture Row Chevy

I am fairly certain it is because he has a win, but the boss will get this cleared up I am sure.

Well, this is going to be real tough now. Then again, my backup choice for Saturday night will be subbing for a guy who has done very well at Texas Motor Speedway. Although he hasn't been great himself, he'll be subbing for a guy who has won twice at Texas along with 4 Top 5s & 4 Top 10s. He'll be subbing for Denny Hamlin in the #11 FedEx TOYOTA Saturday in Fort Worth. After an 11th place finish last Sunday at Martinsville, VA, he'll be my choice in prime time to get it done while Denny remains sidelined.

SHARK's PICK: NRA 500 (Spring NSCS Race-Texas)
#11 BRIAN VICKERS FedEx TOYOTA

You may have the same points, but you are not tied. Tie breakers are number of dealbreakers then highest finisher of the last race picked.

Nothing like a pick bump less than 24 hrs before the drop of the green flag. Classy.

If it was your pick he was bumping, I bet he would've waited longer.

I will pick Danica 3 times this season before the chase if he has the balls to come and post his picks under his beer vendor account.

Watching "The Alamo" (great pre-Texas race movie despite knowing how it ends!), drinking beer :drunken: and counting down to race time!!

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Last year at Texas was my first (and only, so far) NASCAR race, and it was so freaking awesome!!! Had hoped to be there tonight, but it didn't work out. I have to say though, that once the NRA got the naming rights to tonight's race, I felt very uncomfortable about the idea of just being there. I know the race winner always receives pistols, but I'm just icked out by the whole thing, and as a 6th generation Texan, that confuses me. :?

Anyways...ready to be under the lights with y'all tonight!!

:D :drunken: :D

But I don't look like Han. :(

I seriously can't wait for this race! Gonna be great. I have a very special theme planned for the Racelog tonight. I think it's something that you'll be particularly interested in HH. :D

What?? How can you not like Han??
I'm seriously excited too! :bounce:
PM me a hint!
