De Aza gets doubled off second on an infield pop up because why not.

That's 3 walks already from Veal. And a throwing error.

Bad.

Fuck you, Matt Thornton.

Good thing Ventura played the lefty-lefty matchups. Take out Lindstrom who was dominating to have Thorton go 2-0 then give up a homerun. When this team scores 7 runs it should be enough to win.

Ventura's overuse of the bullpen has been a problem going on a second year now. Be an AL manager: sit back and watch the game.

We need an appointed person to quietly remind each of us when we've gone off the deep end on things. I was walking home last night and it struck me that I actuall wasted time at work researching Mike and Mike ratings. Crazy shit. I wish someone was there to bring me back.

You should have phrased that, "do you think you'll ever stop referencing this?" Using "crying" there is inaccurate and pretty insulting to boot.

But the answer is, probably not. I'll mention it from time to time just as I've continued to do. I just like pointing out the hypocrisy of people who say I "bully" SHARK, when there are others who go in far more harshly and frequently than I do.

Especially with LaRoche, who hits lefties almost as well as he hits righties.

I noticed in Daryl Van Schouwen's postgame report from last night's White Sox loss to the Nationals in the Sun-Times that 2B Gordon Beckham's wrist injury might land him on the DL. Brent Morel, come on down?

Here's the White Sox lineup for tonight in Washington. Changes in BOLD type.

30 Alejandro De Aza CF (L)
7 Jeff Keppinger 2B (R)
51 Alex Rios RF (R)
32 Adam Dunn LF (L)
14 Paul Konerko 1B (R)
10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R)
12 Conor Gillaspie 3B (L)
21 Tyler Flowers C (R)
34 Gavin Floyd P (R)

Jordan Zimmermann does the chucking for the Nationals this eve.

A couple of White Sox notes. First, CSNChicago.com's White Sox Insider Dan Hayes has Tweeted that 2B Gordon Beckham won't pick up a bat until Friday. Also, the Tribune's Mark Gonzales has Tweeted that the Sox will face former teammate Brett Myers, now in the Indians' starting rotation Sunday at (Not So) Progressive Field in Cleveland.

Zimmerman's gonna fuck them up. He's one of those guys who didn't quite make the "my guys" distinction in my fantasy baseball empire (matt moore, matt harvey, mike minor.... the M-town crew) but he's quietly been real nice since coming back from TJ surgery and i wouldn't be shocked if he went like 17-6 2.71/1.14 or something with ~150k in ~200ip.

then again, i hope i'm wrong cuz i could use the adam dunn lumber in a few leagues.

A little more on Beckham, brought to you by CSNChicago.com's Dan Hayes. The White Sox 2B said his wrist still hurt when he woke up this morning. Hayes also added that he's made little, not significant progress. Lots of uncertainty. A DL stint appears very likely at this point.

I CANT FUCKING STAND ALEX RIOS.

First five minutes of baseball I watch this year, he gets picked off, then misses a cutoff man, setting up a run scored. FUCK YOU I HATE YOU!!!

Gavin Floyd is the guy who's just good enough to break your heart when he inevitably falls apart.

And once again, Ventura goes to the pen for a lefty lefty matchup and the Nats end up putting more runs on the board.

Gavin Floyd sucks. His assortment of shit is good for a #5 starter. So he meets expectations. Stop complaining.

One other random thought. That Ian Desmond guy is roided up big time.

Looks like he's swinging the bat well. I still hate him. Maybe they can trade him. Otherwise one more year.
