Ah yes, I do remember when Alfonso Soriano was not black. "No, you fools, not skin black, I mean 'yooooo dawg' black." What changed that Soriano gets to be black again? Did some cargo-shorts-wearing gentile from Schaumburg want him traded for "being lazy" LIKE THE RACIST HE MUST BE?

They were discussing Bud Selig's latest bit of concern-trolling over the lack of black players in baseball, which Dan dismissed by pointing out the preponderance of Latin players of African descent. He capped his argument by saying something along the lines of "Look at Alfonso Soriano!"

Right, the same Latin players of African descent who didn't count when Dan was eager to point out the Cubs had no black players.

Look, this isn't hard to understand.

Soriano Black-O-Meter

When Dan Wants To Coyly Cast Aspersions Of Racism On The Cubs: not black

When Dan Wants To Make Bud Selig Look Stupid: black

That African Americans don't take up baseball as much is kind of troubling, but it's only part of a greater trend of people not taking up baseball as much.

I don't really know anything about sports medicine, but it just seems to me that throwing Rose out there for five games isn't going to make a ton of difference. He's going to have a long and arduous summer of rehab anyway. I have trouble believing that his rehab will just magically be completed (whatever that means) once he hits a certain threshold of minutes.

This is what I was trying to say in my previous posts. I understand Dan's position that the final step in Rose's recovery requires that he play in actual basketball games. What I don't understand is why those basketball games have to be this season's playoff games.

Dan's position has always been that players who may have taken some nights off or dogged it during the regular season play harder and more physically when the playoffs start. So if this season doesn't matter, why have Rose's final step in rehabbing his injury begin at a time when everyone else is gearing up to play harder than they have all season? Why not just have him continue to play in practice and play in summer league games and start the 2013-2014 season fresh?

Dan's constant harping on the money that the Bulls stand to lose on ticket sales if Rose decides not to play this year is also troubling. Do the Bulls get out of the second round? Probably not. So what is that 6 or 7 home playoff games? Why take those short term gains vs. the risk of losing out on the far more lucrative long term one?

Still wondering what other people think about this.

dan's take: The. Risk. Is. No. Greater. In. The. Playoffs. Than. In. Practice. LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTORS!

More and more it seems like Dan's stances on things, when applicable, are just informed by which of the relevant parties are Jewish, and that's really, really sad.

Bud Selig is one Jewish guy Dan doesn't like. Are there any others? Let's get a list going.

I was a fan of the '95 Cincinnati Reds with Reggie Sanders, Ron Gant, Deion Sanders, and Barry Larkin.

There's been disagreements about Bernstein's assertion that the Bulls organIzation being disappointed in Rose not being back.

Matt and Laurence disagree and it is being mentioned as a talking point during tranny.

Berns is right, & Meat & Loho are wrong.

Also, Jerome Walton, Chuck McElroy, and Willie Green (who was black ironically)
