What is Elmhurst Steve's favorite sporting event?

The Masters.

Billiards. The object is to have the white ball knock the colored balls off the table.

Here's a question for you, how much would you pay to play Augusta?

Also, how much would you pay just to have a ticket to the Masters and be able to walk the course?

I would say without hesitation that I would pay $1000, maybe even $2000 to play.

And I would pay $200 just to be there and walk the course.

I'd pay up to $300 just to be there and walk.

I wouldn't think twice about paying $2000 to play Augusta. My max would be in the $4000-$5000 range.

Did they wear the t-shirts that said, "We're T-Bone's Parents"?

No, they wouldn't wear those t-shirts. My mom went early and picked up a few bits of swag for
myself and friends but had to babysit my niece and nephew. Not sure how she pulled that off.
Didn't get many details from my dad last night when I texted. He was wiped out sounds like
he, my brother and his wife spent all day there and it was 80 and nice. My parents are back
today so I may have something later. My dad assured me that the flowers would be blooming
perfectly on everyones HD tv.

As for wanting to play the course, I think it would be a cool experience but not sure I would pay
more than $500 to test it out. I don't think I would enjoy it by the time I finished :D . It is
certainly fun to go to walk around and take it all in though. Practice rounds are the way to go
and watch the action of the actual tournament on TV. I think my dad has played it 6 times
now but I haven't really asked him that much about it.

Masters 2013: How does Arnold Palmer order an Arnold Palmer?

AUGUSTA, Ga. -- The usual crowd at the putting green at Augusta National had turned to face the wrong direction, toward the outdoor dining area adjacent to the old clubhouse. Usually, this is a sign that golf royalty is nearby.

And, sure enough, there he was: Arnold Palmer, the four-time Masters winner, wearing in his green jacket and looking over a menu that he has probably seen a thousand times. He already has his beverage.

He is drinking an Arnold Palmer.

We will have a full week to debate questions pertaining to this tournament. Will Tiger Woods finally break his major slump? Will Phil Mickelson cash in on a fourth Masters victory? Can Rory McIlroy, who imploded spectacularly here two years ago, tame the famous course?

For now, though, let's get this one out of the way: How does Arnold Palmer order an Arnold Palmer?

It has to be a bit awkward, right? Does he tell the waitress, "I'll have a me?" Does he just expect that she'll know, because of who he is. That could lead to an awkward moment if, for a change of pace, he'd like a Dr. Pepper.

Really, few people in history have this problem. Sam Adams, the patriot, was long dead when Sam Adams, the beer, hit the market in 1985. No one is sure if Harvey Wallbanger was an actual bar patron -- a Manhattan beach surfer, according to Wikipedia -- or just a legend. Shirley Temple might have had this issue, but that "cocktail" was invented for her because she was too young to drink. Did she keep drinking it into adulthood?

Those are mysteries that I cannot answer now. But I can solve one puzzle, at least. I chased Kesley, the waitress serving Arnold Palmer yesterday, back to the bar where she was putting in another drink order.

"How did Arnie order his drink?"

"He leaned over and said, 'I'll have a Mr. Palmer.' Then he winked," Kesley said.

Of course he did.

Got a brief overview last night from my folks. I believe they usually spend a lot of time at 16
but sounds like they got around and did some walking today. Apparently they enjoyed following
Gary Player and said they have rarely seen a nicer and more genuine guy out there. He was
playing with some younger guys they didn't recognize and trying to coach them up on the greens
from what they could tell. Always a big draw from galleries, he was talking to everyone, hugging
ladies near the ropes, you name it. I remember this when I saw him last time I went 4 or 5 years
ago. They also said they saw the 14 yr old amateur and couldn't believe how slight he is, apparently
he weighs 125 lbs soaking wet. It was mid 80s and sunny. My dad is going back for the par 3 contest
today and bringing his camera and finding a good perch. He wants some good shots of Palmer, Nicklaus,
and Player. You never know when it will be their last time playing that event together.

That is awesome and I love hearing the stories. Thanks to the T-bone family.

The Masters is yet another reason to have Directv. They have 7 channels of Masters coverage. A could follow different groups, one is a channel of just Amen Corner, one is dedicated to just two holes ( I think 15 and 16), one has split screen of all 7channels. Pretty friggen cool.

No one gives a crap about your fantasy football team. People care less about fantasy golf. Good grief.

I would love to see Sergio win something. I dont know why but I always wanted to see him turn into a player and it just never happened.

Really no reason this shouldn't be on TV/Online from the opening tee shot until the last.

Agreed. It would be like starting TV coverage of a World Series game in the bottom of the 3rd inning.

Though, I'm pretty damn busy right now so maybe its kind of a good thing

I thought a couple years ago Augusta gave up that no tv before ninth and so on as long as limited commercial breaks or something.

Those lovely folks at ANGC love non-conformity for the sake of non-conformity. But they have more money than they know what to do with, so they're not concerned with additional revenue streams from extended viewing.

Too busy at work to try to follow coverage. Thanks for updates guys. I will try to check once an hour or so.
I think ESPN replays coverage this evening if I remember correctly so the less I know the better my tv
experience will be tonight I suppose. No way I will be able to keep my eyeballs off the leaderboard during
the afternoon though.
