First five minutes of baseball I watch this year, he gets picked off, then misses a cutoff man, setting up a run scored. FUCK YOU I HATE YOU!!!

Isnt he having a nice start at the plate though?

Yes he is.

Yes he is.

2 more hits and an RBI for Rios, guys. Can't complain about that.

Meanwhile, White Sox fans better get used to seeing Jeff Keppinger at 2B. Keppinger not only went 1-for-4 with a run scored, but he did a nice job defensively at a position he's very accustomed. The Sox got Keppinger to play third, but he's a SECOND baseman by trade. If you saw him play in Houston & San Francisco, that's where he played and I expect RV to keep him there as long as Beckham is out.

He's brutal at 2b. I could tell that from watching two innings. Almost threw one away that Konerko saved and could barely range 10 feet to start a DP.

That's where he played in Houston & San Francisco. I can picture Jeff Keppinger staying at 2B as long as Beckham is out, but I partially disagree with what I saw in the Sun-Times' White Sox notebook today. If Beckham is DL-ed, there's talk that Steve Tolleson (?), not Brent Morel, might get recalled from Triple "A" Charlotte.

While I don't picture Morel filling in at 2B, I can see Morel & Connor Gillaspie platooning at 3B and keeping Keppinger right where he is right now should Beckham be DL-ed this weekend if his wrist isn't sufficiently healed.

White Sox pitching coach Don Cooper remains in the hospital and won't accompany the team to Cleveland & Toronto due to stomach problems. Minor League Pitching Coordinator Curt Hasler will join the team in Cleveland tomorrow while Cooper heads home to Nashville for rest.

The lineup tonight is the same as last night for the White Sox vs. Washington's Dan Haren, except for the Sox starting Dylan Axelrod on the mound.

30 Alejandro De Aza CF (L)
7 Jeff Keppinger 2B (R)
51 Alex Rios RF (R)
32 Adam Dunn LF (L)
14 Paul Konerko 1B (R)
10 Alexei Ramirez SS (R)
12 Conor Gillaspie 3B (L)
21 Tyler Flowers C (R)
33 Dylan Axelrod P (R)

Meanwhile, backup infielder Angel Sanchez & backup catcher Hector Gimenez have started to take grounders at third base, says the Trib's Mark Gonzales. I've gotta think that might be a sure sign that 2B Gordon Beckham is DL-bound with a wrist injury and that Jeff Keppinger is staying where he is now.

As for the Nationals, there is one change in their lineup.

2 Denard Span CF (L)
28 Jayson Werth RF (R)
34 Bryce Harper LF (L)
11 Ryan Zimmerman 3B (R)
25 Adam LaRoche 1B (L)
20 Ian Desmond SS (R)
8 Dan Espinoza 2B (S)
40 Wilson Ramos C (R)
15 Dan Haren P (R)

I'm not surprised. The White Sox will make a roster move tomorrow before the Indians' series starts in Cleveland. Non-roster invitee Steve Tolleson (?) or Brent Morel might join the team at (Not So) Progressive Field.

Beckham will undergo surgery early next week.

SHARK,

Do you know who will be performing the surgery?

It won't be the Bulls' Dr. Brian Cole. That's for sure.

Do you think it will be one of the doctors from Midwest Orthopedics at Rush University Medical Center?

40 pitches to get out of the first inning? OUCH!

Bright side, they only got 1 run.

Just a question......what type of choice is starting Dunn? Hitting a buck 70...is a butcher in the field and can't field?

This series has been full of terrible management, especially regarding the pitching.
