Day holes out of the bunker for a birdie-eagle start.

Tiger folding. This is pretty much the norm for him during majors now.

I really don't want to see Angel win another one. Hoping one of the aussies can pull it out

Of course. Rumor has it that the whistleblower came from CBS. Let's just say he's rather... cordial to his television "friends".

What's to say? He isn't playing well today. I could say nothing, or make excuses, like you do when he wins.

I'm satisfied with how everything went. The new rule is in place and must be followed as well.

The course official ruled it okay after he did it. It's not like he asked if he could drop where he did and got the okay.

Isn't golf supposed to be above sports because in sports players look for loopholes and in golf players police themselves? Isn't the honorable thing to do to resign from the tournament after signing a bad scorecard?

He signed a bad scorecard. Isn't he supposed to be out? Regardless of why he signed it? My understanding is intent has nothing to do with it. I don't think many guys sign bad scorecards on purpose. It's a mistake and a mistake with consequences. We all know why the powers that be wanted him to stay in. And they were going to twist the rules into pretzels to make that happen. But shouldn't he have done the right thing and resigned from the tournament?

They amended the rule though. Are baseball players supposed to start taking strikeouts on incorrectly called balls too?

Given Tiger would be leading the Masters without that penalty Frank is pretty quiet now.

Edit: Well, I guess right now he's technically one back.

Baseball is a sport. It's not incumbent upon players to be honest in baseball. In fact, in sports, if you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin'. Golf is something else. It's supposed to be about honor and gentlemanly conduct, not about getting an edge wherever possible. I'm sorry Tiger isn't a big and black enough stud to play sports where such behavior is not only tolerated but applauded. Instead he plays golf.

Should any golfer who gets a penalty disqualify himself?

I hope Tiger wins this.

The interview with Jim Nantz would be something.

This wasn't just a penalty. The consequences for signing an incorrect scorecard is disqualification. If The PGA refuses to do it because of television ratings Woods should be honorable enough to do it himself.

If Tiger's third shot on 15 Friday, is one inch to the left or the right, he carts a 4, or a 5 at worst. Day sprays a tee shot right into the trees, and gets a good bounce right back to the fairway. One inch here, a couple more there, and it's a five or six shot swing. Crazy game this golf is.

What were Cabrera and Sneds doing on 13?

It looks it comes down to two Aussies, Day and Scott.

Leishman, Cabrera, and Sneds have all fallen apart.

How many times is Ian Baker Finch going to say that "Australia is a proud sporting nation"?
