RP Bryan, everytime there's an attack, terrorism is always front & center in stories like this.

that's some hard-hitting analysis

Guys, I'm serious. Remember 9/11/01? They always look at terrorism in stories like the one in Boston. If the tragedies of 9/11/01 taught us anything, this country isn't immune to a terrorist attack.

What happened on 9/11/01?

Didn't the White Sox used to start their games at 9:11 a few years back?

This is obviously an unfortunate occurrence. I am, however, surprised the U.S. has not had more instances like this.

Whether the people involved be foreign or domestic, it is surprising to me we don't have stuff like this happen more often.

Everyone remembers SHARK. I think you're misunderstanding RPB's original statement. Best to just move on...

Good to see municipal government has everything under control.

Take the afternoon off, SHARK. We don't need trash can updates.

That did not look like a gas explosion. Gas doesn't explode with that kind of FPS (speed).

They could have been planted later. Like somone could have come up and droped a bag/box while people weren't paying attention. Too early to tell anything...

Ding. Impossible to monitor the crowd over a 4 - 6 hour period.

Then they would not have been there for the dogs to miss.

Just hoping that folks haven't found a more effective way to throw a trained dog off the scent.

Gotta defer to Lipid for that kind of info. I cannot say.

My good buddy moved to Boston last fall. Apparently his office is only three blocks from one of the explosions, but luckily they were all off today. Fuck this is fucked.

Yeah, that would be bad, but I seriously doubt it. That location is a mass of humanity that changes frequently as people's loved ones finish the race. It would be very easy to blend in, leave an item and walk away.

Could be a good thing...maybe not terrorism then, and just a tragic coincidence.

Unlikely if they are indeed finding more devices not detonated.

Hmm...don't want to speculate...will only comment that if that was epic gas, that dude is feeling pretty itchy right now...

...seriously, thoughts and prayers to those affected...but I'm not gonna lie...my first though when I heard this break was this:
