Which is weird because according to the show A TON of people IN Chicago are racist.

It seems to me everybody is racist except the guy who wants to Breed Brittany Griner

Yeah according to the show the only reason that nobody goes to Sox games is because white people are scared of the South Side.

Pretty rich that Bernsie is educating us that the Cub fanbase is not what the media would paint them to be. We need to see through that and understand that the majority of the fanbase are intelligent fans that just want the team to win.

But...all downstate people are racist crackers that resent Chicago and hate black people.

You must have missed the new Score slogan, WSCR: College graduates talking down to ignorant meatballs.

The biggest racist here is the guy who's calling everyone else a racist, right? Seems like that's how it often works out.

I grew south of I-80 (far from it....faaaaaaaaaaaarrr from it). Love the "South of I-80" sentiment. I've met some real gems in my seven years of residing here. Trust me, there are many, many, many people in the greater Chicagoland area who would fit in just nicely in southern Illinois. Keep up the arrogance, though.

I've found that people outside of Chicago spend far less time thinking/talking about Chicago than people in Chicago think they do.

Far less.

I discovered that when I went away to college. My first experience with Chicagoans. All they talked about was Chicago. Guess what? Don't give a shit. It's still a running joke to this day. Some girl at our apartment kept going on and on about how much more expensive things were in Chicago. I jokingly said "Yeah, I heard Kool-Aid packets are $5 each." She agreed.

That's because we're a World Class City.

Really? It seems to me a lot of Chicagoans have what I'd call "Second City Syndrome". That's where that whole overriding desire to be "World Class" comes from. Look, we're the capital of the flyover states. That's not such a bad thing to be.

It's fine to be proud of where you're from, but it's a bit much when you tie every conversation back to it. Pride and arrogance are two different things.

I wake up and thank the universe everyday that I am from Chicago and not St. Louis.

I agree with the Second City syndrome (Ask any 100 Chicagoans about NY for confirmation)

I just tend to hear the World Class thing more from visitors and famous people (who are just going for cheap pops anyway)

People from New York would think of Chicago as south of I 80.

Ken "Hawk" Harrelson was on TSN a short time ago and his latest Sabermetrics rant is coming up.

Terry's "two favorite words" will be on CSNC's "SportsTalk Live" this eve with David Kaplan and crew come 5P. You know the one. A certain SCORE guy who constantly plugs NBC5 & mentions meteorologist Cheryl Scott...
