They had a former FBI agent on a news program yesterday that said when they release a profile like they did yesterday, more than likely they already have an idea of who / where the suspect(s) are and it is a way to make them nervous and make a rash decision. That being said, I'm sure not every case is alike.

I think they got scared went to fuel up at the 7-11. They guy behind the counter panicked. They ran out grabed the Mercedes. Tried to make it to next safe house in Watertown but could not.

Either that or the head of their cell realizing they where no longer useful, had them load up and go out and make as much mischief as possible giving the rest of the cell time to run
