This is by far the biggest incident ever involving this kind of thing. The authorities have been talking about it, begging people not to use it. And then you have the whole 4chan thing.

The media and internet's role in events like this will be the story. At least A story.

Police scanners are a GREAT thing for us to have (police the police) but apparently we cant handle the responsibility so they should probably have a kill switch (which id normally be categorically opposed to)

Completely agree. Many of us are often under the illusion that the American public is full of responsible adults who know how to be serious and smart when neccessary. It really sucks, but sometimes things need to be taken out of public hands for the safety of everyone. Sounds crazy to even type that...
