Terrell Owens is preparing for a return to the NFL, and he feels the Chicago Bears would be a good landing spot.
Citing a stagnated relationship forged 17 years ago with new Bears head coach Marc Trestman, Owens feels that he can make a difference in Chi-Town.
"I played my first early years in San Francisco with and shortly after that, he left to do some things," Owens said Friday, according CSNChicago.com. "I haven't talked to Marc in a long while. I know he's gone on and done some things, now he's back in the NFL. So, I never really thought about it until myself and [former NFL linebacker] Napoleon [Harris] were talking about it earlier, but I would definitely welcome it if they would give it some serious consideration."
Owens, 39, didn't play in 2012, but -- as Harris can attest -- the former All-Pro has been keeping in shape in hopes that some team will take a flyer on him.
And he's doing his best sell job to the Bears.
"To think about [Bears wide receiver Brandon Marshall] on the other side and me on one side, that's really dangerous," Owens went on to say. "I'm keeping myself in shape just for any opportunity that may come about."
