Two, sometimes, though not frequently, you might agree with him. Agreeing with a guy doesn't make you an apologost, it means you and he might agree once. Its a bit more of a weakness to instantly disagree with someone and not bother to listen than it is to agree occasionaly with an unpopular poster.

What ,what? No one likes me.Fuck and that is what I was after.

Another fact that you can gleam from the information we've been gathering is that this wasn't some big terrorist network that helped these guys. Why? Cuz these guys didn't have money.

1. Why didn't they get out of Boston after the attacks as many have asked? You need money to travel, eat and to lodge yourself.

2. When they jacked the guy's car, they stole $800 from his ATM to get them by for a week or so. That's it. Then what are they gonna do? Jack cars and steal ATM money all across the country. Hit banks?

Indications from the Uncle was that a close family friend mentored the older brother. Also, the mom said he was on terrorist web sites and chat rooms. Plus his trips back to Russia where he probably had people influence him. But he didn't have big financial backing from any big terrorist group.

The older brother knew he was going down and was fine with it actually. He strapped a suicide bomb to himself before he jacked the car. He wanted to be a martyr. Thought it would be his legacy and was proud of it. The younger brother didn't strap a bomb. He didn't want to die. Just a dumb kid not knowing what the hell he was doing. Just doing what his brother told him. He was thinking he'd do this and go on with his normal life.

Look, I know for shitty cops those pesky constitutional rights are just a burden but we can't just not observe the constitution when it suits us. Or maybe someday, Steve, your rights will be ignored and when you need a lawyer or if you're wrongly accused you are tortured.
What kind of sick person says they have no problem with the government torturing an American?
That's fucked.

Yeah, he's an American citizen who's citizenship should have been revoked (his brother as well-even more so) and sent back to Russia. No....I don't need to respect the rights of a guy who is not only a suspect in the bombings, but has without a doubt thrown bombs at Police officers and shot at Police officers and killed an MIT officer in a car jacking. No, that special kind of person does not deserve any rights. All he's good for at this point is extracting information from, by whatever means necessary. With this asswipe there is no danger of him being wrongly accused. Even if he had no part in the bombings, everything he did while trying to evade arrest including killing and using deadly force to try to get away, is all I need to justify using any measures, including torture, to extract any information that might be obtained that might save more lives. Constitutional rights are not a burden, they just shouldn't be extended to those who are witnessed and filmed throwing bombs and shooting guns at Police officers. That kind of person deserves no such consideration. After extracting whatever information they might be able to get, they should put him in general population and let the other inmates save the cost of a trial too.

At some point he will have to read his Miranda rights. Sooner rather than later. The Public Safety Exception doesn't go on forever and only covers a limited line of questioning.

Holy fuck. It's a damn good thing you're not a cop anymore.
Didn't you have to swear to protect the constitution?
You POSITIVE that this guy was shooting at cops? Maybe it was his brother? Do you know? you don't, but you're so willing to strip his CITIZENSHIP and his RIGHTS?
You have no goddamn business wearing a badge.
this country is safer with you holding a paintbrush instead of a nightstick and a badge.
You justify him being in a car where SOMEONE is evading the cops as being a solid reason to TORTURE someone? Jesus Christ you are a terrible person.
Thank god above in all his glory you are no longer a cop.

Did the suspect fire or was it all cops?
Does everyone who shoots at a cop or is accused of shooting a cop lose his constitutional rights and therefore someone worthy of torture?

We don't know who shot at who. Seems fucked up to me this guy is willing so suspend the suspects rights, citizenship, and is willing to fucking torture the guy? That's  big time. Torture, man. Think about that.

He also ran his brother over and smashed through police cars while escaping the night before.

Yeah, or did he escape on foot? Conflicting stories, not sure what to beleve.
But in this country, the accused have rights, something you should be grateful for I believe. And, at no point do we torture American Citizens. We're fucking Americans damnit, we're better than that. Pull that shit off in Iran or some godawful place but we don't do that here.

From what I understand the FBI has him on viedo dropping the bag. Pretty sure it's him they have, not the older brother.

That's it. Open and shut.

All this talk about try him as an enemy of the state in GITMO or try him in FED court or try him in state court doesn't matter. He's guilty as sin.

Read him his rights or don't read him his rights doesn't matter either. So I say read it to him. Judging by his profile, he's a dumb kid that's gonna talk anyway. He's scared. He's alone. He had no idea of the magnitude of what he was doing when he did it. As amazing as that sounds, he really didn't.

Those interrogators are gonna have him crying and he'll tell them everything they want to hear. This kid wasn't even some tough guy bad ass outside of this event. He was polite and well mannered from what everybody said of him. You won't have to torture him. He's not your typical terrorist. Kid just was following his brothers orders as I've said before. He's not radical. He's not a Muslim extremist. He's not religious at all from what his friends said. And he doesn't care about politics. He did it cuz his brother told him to do it.

Darkside, I'm right there with you. Amazing that people are willing to sacrifice rights in the name of safety. It's as if they trust the moral compass of our Government.

That's for a court to decide, or the prison warden.

If he's tried in Fed Court, which he will be, a terrorist attack, by law, is automatic death penalty. That's the only option. So he's gonna be put to death. There is no question about that.

We don't torture in America.
Once he's convicted he's the DOC's problem.

Why aren't the WTC 1 bombers put to death? They're not... right? Still in prison?

Madison and Jefferson knew the government would try to take away people's rights. Even with as clear as the Bill of Rights and other amendments are, people still want to forgo due process, among many other rights that are infringed on.

I said if he's tried in Fed Court. The bombers of WTC 1 were tried in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. So life in prison or death penalty was an option in their case.

Timothy McVeigh of the OKC bombings was tried in Fed Court and got that automatic Death Penalty.

I'm just asking cause then you're faced with 3 different dilemmas.

1. Putting him in general population isn't much different than torture.
2. Putting him in solitary confinement means he's getting special treatment.
3. Putting him to death could be questionable if he was set up, or later found not to have done it.

The WTC bombers are all in supermax in CO. What's one more?

Alan Dershowitz seemed pretty confident last night that there's a good chance that whatever lawyer Jahar gets could get the case tried in Massachusetts rather than federal court.

In which case, no death penalty.

How come he can subject hundreds if not thousands of innocent people to cruel and unusual punishment, but the same can't be done to him?

He is an American citizen. He gets all the rights associated with that.
As others said he is tried in Federal court. If found guilty he is given the automatic sentence of Death. Ony question is how long until it is done.
Now from the information out there he was following his brother he would not have had a hold up on his being given citizenship.
His brother is the one who should of had his greed cad pulled and kicked out.

Dershowitz also called Graham and McCain ignorant of the law last night for suggesting that Jahar could be held and tried as an enemy combatant.
