Cool. I will do that then. Put in this much work so might as well see it through to the end. Do you figure this
series will be a one and done? Not sure where they are in the 80s at this point.

I've liked the last few episodes.

Both sides have gotten sloppy and made incorrect assumptions that have resulted in deaths.

But that's my point. The Russians shouldn't be getting sloppy. They're trained killers that have been KGB probably since they were teenagers. Their feelings shouldn't be getting in the way of their judgement. That's why they're the worst spies ever. If they have been making poor choices like this their entire time here, they would have been caught years ago.

Yeah but that's the point.

As much as The Russians or the Americans think they have the more dedicated agents, both sides are just human and subject to the same emotions and flaws.

I just read that FX already renewed it for a second season, which is scheduled to start in January 2014.

Thanks for the info. Guess I definitely have to catch up now.

So many moving pieces.

Nina, Martha, Phillip, and Stan made moves this week.

Next week's finale looks good.

Oh Paige.

Not a terrible episode, but it didn't seem like a season finale.

Yeah, that ending was real lame.

So now, their daughter is suspicious about something? Is she going to be the FBI dudes next informant? I liked this show when it started, but this season kind of peter'ed out at the end for me. Hopefully it comes back strong in season 2.

That seems to be one of the major reasons the show exists though. It's a struggle between the training they received and the love of the country they were born in and the slow transformation they've had as they've been Americanized. Philip seemed to want to simply live in the American lifestyle he's been accustomed to but he couldn't because she is still a devoted spy. However, with how they've been treated she seems to be getting more fed up with what the Russians are doing to them.

I predict that season 2 focuses on them attempting to reconcile as she seems interested in trying and a growing desire to come clean and start working with the American government. Ultimately, in my opinion, this will be a show about how they transform into Americanized versions of themselves and choose the "good" side.
