And I agree with JORR about Wilco. They (he) peaked with Summerteeth, and the summit wasn't that high. Wilco is severely over-rated in the Chicagoland area. Tweedy should be thankful every single day that he/they originated in a major metropolitan area that was willing to consume his shit. If he started his band in Billings, Montana he'd be HUGE on the rodeo circuit in that state.

Hussra's comment about Phish playing one song stretched over 4 nights was kinda :lol:

No it wasn't, it was stupid. They played 88 songs in 9 sets over 4 days, including many covers. It was just the same, lazy joke that I have heard for twenty years. Try to at least come up with something clever.

Caught the Jim James shows at Pabst Theatre (Milwaukee 4/19) and The Vic (4/20). I was having a hard time envisioning how Regions of Light and Sounds of God would translate to a live show. Now I know, I guess. It was different- not bad by any means, the music/performance just had this weird mix of being fairly energetic yet simultaneously calming. The setlist was nearly the same both nights with the exception of slightly different encores:

Regions of Light and Sounds of God (in it's entirity)

Encore
Moving Away
Changing World
Dear God
Right Place
Losin' Yo Head
His Master's Voice

The Vic encore had those songs in a different order except for Moving Away, which was swapped for another MMJ song- Bermuda Highway.

I googled the 4/19 show to see if there were any reviews up yet and instead ran into this:

The post also mentions Chicago-area venue Toyota Park as a hashtag. Bob Dylan's website notes that an AmericanaramA ticket pre-sale will begin on the morning of April 24.

Richard Thompson Electric Trio and Ryan Bingham are listed on Dylan's site as additional artists set to play at some of the forthcoming dates, with more acts to be announced.

Bob Dylan is currently on a spring tour that runs through May 5. His 2012 album "Tempest" debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 last September - making it his fifth consecutive top 10 studio album.

I was tempted to go to the Jim James shows but held back due to uncertainty of how it would be.
Very interested in the tour you mentioned above.

damn i missed out on a pretty good wilco debate.

"yankee hotel foxtrot" was the last album i bought from wilco. they kinda lost me after that. but i loved "summerteeth" and "being there". and "a.m." is a fun album too.

He was part of a documentary now showing on Showtime called Lost Songs ; The Basement Tapes
Continued where he, Marcus Mumford and Elvis Costello as well as a couple other artists are given a box of
Dylan Lyrics that he wrote in the late 60s but never recorded. The program shows them putting music to the
lyrics and collaborating with producer T-Bone Burnett to cobble together an album. It was really an interesting
look into songwriting. I'd recommend it to any music fans.
