A couple things here.
Aldi food isn't crappy. Ground beef is ground beef no matter where you get it. Lunchmeat is lunchmeat no matter where you get it. Wheat bread, chicken breast, it doesn't matter whether u buy it at aldi or you overspend at dominicks. Jorr should thank you for proving his point that the stupid fall for advertising, thinking that dominicks bread is somehow superior to aldi. Dumbass.

We get what we both like and what we like individually. If there is something I like and want, my wife is not going to refrain from buying it because she doesn't care for it. That would be selfish and ignorant. Aldi products suck, thats why they are so cheap. Ground beef is all the same....OMG don't you know there are several grades of ground beef and the amount of fat varies greatly between grades? I don't eat Dominics or Jewel bread either though, as you suggest because that sucks too....My God you are white trash.

Actually, you are wrong. Aldi stuff is name brand stuff. There was a article a few years ago in the tribune as to why they are very low priced. It is more cost effective to buy name brand stuff in mass quantities and rebrand it with the Aldi "brand" or "off name brand" and repackage it and sell it then to buy that much and sell it in the name brand package. A lot of the stuff there with the few exception of trade marked items is the same as if you purchased it at a regular priced grocery store.

I doubt there is a single thing Aldi sells that I would buy. If you buy "store brand" crap, I can see where the stuff you get from Jewel, Dominics or Aldi is the same. But I don't buy ground beef, dont buy white bread or generic rice, cereal or other such items. So if you want to tell me that the bread from Panera or Breadsmith is the same as Aldi, I say Bullshit. If you say the steaks are the same at Aldi as the Prime and Tender meat shotin Hinsdale, I say Bullshit. If you say the Lobster from Aldi (if they have any) is the same as from Supreme Lobster, I say Bullshit. It's no shock that someone who goes by the name RedneckMommy would defend Aldi though.

Aldi is great when you are picking up staples like 5 gallons of milk at a time or butter or brown sugar or any number if frozen items. We get the frozen sausage patties all the time the kids love them.

The pasta you buy at aldi, is actually kraft and/or cremete brand, just in their packaging. The Malt o meal brand that is sold at other grocery stores is considered a off brand, but is cheaper because they use less packaging and is comparable to the name brand and doesn't use bells and whistles to get you to buy it And the stuff you call "store brand crap" is the same as what you would buy if it was name brand stuff. Take the breakfast bars or toaster pastries...looks the same and holy crap here is earth shattering news.... made of the same stuff. Sugar and flour there is the same as what you are buying at a higher priced store, just a heck of a lot cheaper because it doesn't have fancy packaging or marketing campaigns. Sorry that I am price conscious when I grocery shop and my kid likes some of the less pricier brands...I know doing that makes me po' white trash (thought it made me smart to save money on my grocery bill).

Where did I say lobster is the same at aldi as it is at a fish store? Maybe if you read the whole post you wouldn't see that, in fact i didn't mention it. It said most of the stuff at the store is comparable or the same as the name brand, just in different package. I guess painting the walls at some office building and sniffing the fumes (because we all know he paints in them their multi million dollar houses ) causes one not to be able to read properly

I actually bought a couple baby back rib racks at aldi. Got the rub at menards actually (famous daves). But they were outstanding. No quality difference with the ones I bought at jewels.

Wow.

This has been something.

I don't have a problem with Aldi. I don't go to one because there really isn't one close to me. After discussion with the lady, I learned that Aldi is considered a really nice grocery store in Europe (they are apparently a European company, who knew?). They have a great business model.

Quite frankly, many of my daily activities are advertising driven...right down to grabbing coupons before going to the store, or to grab lunch or whatever.

The Brand is just being an elitist asshole. It's his thing. Given how unprofessional his website looks, I think many are driven by his advertising to not use his services. I know that with that being the first face for a potential customer, I'm turned off by the errors that occur within it.

For the record, Count Chocula is cheaper than a lot of the generic brands.
