Aldi is in large part Trader Joe's, with different labels on many of the items.

Aldi's is an excellent place to shop for the things that Dr Ken mentioned, and a number of others also. The salmon they sell is wild caught, and not farm raised. They have some of best salsas around also.

I'll be honest. I wouldn't buy my produce there.
I usually go to jewels in winter and spring but in summer and fall my white trash ass is buying produce like my taters and corn and beans at Krugers, that family farm on 120.

With all of Steve's weird and unnecessary racial and homophobic slurs, I have no doubt he will some day be found in a storage closet high on paint and balls-deep in a stewardess named Dominick. Just know that we don't judge, Steve. You are loved and accepted.

At the risk of stating the obvious, advertisements are not always objective descriptions of products, right? And as someone else mentioned, there's also the well-known marketing strategy of creating false needs.

But even if you manage to ignore all the TV/radio/net spots about what they think you need, there's still the issue of advertisements about products you actually need or genuinely want. Personally, advertisements do not drive my actions in this regard either. I tend to identify what it is I need and then research those particular products on the net, using technical and user reviews. The research will ideally lead me to buy the best rated product within a budget I've outlined for myself.
