Troubled WSU wide receiver. Luckily, he has a good role model to look up to.

I have no complaints about today.

Very good read from someone close to the situation.

Good stuff. Sounds like the perfect guy to take a chance on with a late round pick.

So you read about "fluidity" in getting behind coverage. That does worry me in terms of transferring to the next level. But he's a tricky and creative route runner with great timing, once he gets off the line. Fun to watch in the open field as a striding runner with phenomenal agility. Had 2nd best 3-cone drill (agility) in the draft. At 6.65 seconds he has elite agility in a 6'3" 200lb frame. Put on 9-10 lbs for the workouts. So he should already be close to playing weight at those numbers.

And he's got the wow factor in terms of hands and hops - big time.

JMO, but as close to a "perfect" pick as you can get in the 7th round.

Sounds like our #3 receiver.

How fast is he? Also, is this what we traded down to get this pick?

I remember him being on the KC Cougars. He could throw the ball from his catching stance over the fence or something.

I remember when the Sox won the division in 2000 and seeing him and James Baldwin and others dancing to Jay-Z "Do it Again"...

I like this pick a lot. Based on his youtube highlights/game clips, Wilson has very good hands, excellent acceleration and above average to excellent speed. He also uses his height/body effectively to "shield" defenders or simply outreach/outjump them for receptions. I don't think his problems with Leach are that big of a deal since he seems to be more than a bit of an asshat. Overall, he looks more athletic/fluid than Alshon Jeffrey, but his body is also less developed.

My prediction is that Wilson will definitely make the roster and should see a fair amount of playing time in his rookie season. Potential impact player if his days of being a douchebag are behind him.

Am I wrong in thinking this is an absolute steal. It's not like he is unique in thinking Leatch is a dick.

The Marques Colston of this year's draft. We finally got a guy who other teams will be saying, "how did we miss this guy".

I absolutely agree and look forward to seeing him on the field at the same time as Marshall and Jeffrey. That combination will be very difficult to defend.

Mully and Hanley just had the Our Lads guy on--and he concurred. He considers Wilson a steal in the 7th round. Unfortunately, he trashed just about every other pick, saying that the Bears reached in almost every round (1st, 2nd, 5th, especially).

They might be good in the 6th round, too!

Basically, the Bears are just gonna have to get a #1 or #2 overall pick in a year where the top two are no brainers to ever get a decent first rd er

Even Urlacher was a "project"

I mean it worked out...but still
