My buddy's sister was dating the kid who died at football practice.

Yesterday's show was a victory for Science, but still a sad commentary on how brainwashed people are.

I can't believe he said that.

I wonder what else he can tell just by looking at people? Like a few others have said, he's become Mike North with a better vocabulary. I wonder if it's a calculated part of his radio persona or if, like North, this is really him?

I remember Goff talking about the first time he met Dan. He (Jason) said he was wearing a nice leather jacket and Bernstein asked him, not jokingly, if he was a drug dealer.

That was the most telling comment of the day.

The fact that he said some people are still bigots even if they've never said or done a bigoted thing in their lives. I guess they were born that way too.

Not that he can tell, but if a person believes ___ people are dumber but never speaks about it publically or acts on it, that person is still a bigot.

Like North, there is a certain megalomania coming into play at this stage of his career. I don't think it calculated as there seems to be waning humor in what he does. He's doing important stuff (in his mind) as evidenced by the pushback he gets from the callers.

His tweet last night was very telling. Unlike "hug a black" day which had an element of calculated humor and thus allowed North to attempt to detach from the deeper connotations, Bernstein's comment about Christians will be attached to him as a benchmark for bigotry.

If he were really that smart and calculating, he would go heavy on sports and let yesterday's news remain yesterday.

I don't know if Dan's enemy is Christianity per se, since he seems inclined to reject the basis of all religions, or at least those that claim for themselves a divine source. As far as his own affiliation, if he is indeed part of the reform community, that would make perfect sense. Reformists in all three major religions justify editing religious tradition in order to suit modern sensibilities.
