While I 100% agree, I am can't take credit for the idea her, but as the Cubs fight with the city for basically nothing, except a dissolution of some bullshit Landmark status so they can do what they want with their real estate, I have to ask where is the support from Jerry? Buddy? MLB?

Milwaukee, Arizona, Washington, Miami...all got 100% support in guidance, political favors called in to get these deals done. All done on the public dime, or at least in part. Now the Cubs asking for nothing from the city, the deal will only create more money for MLB in general...and the "Old Boy System" is hush hush....?

Yes, I do expect them to make calls and make sure the July City Council Meeting goes well.

The person did make a good point, if the Cubs want the Landmark status lifted, they get to pay the city the back taxes they saved during the 20+ years they had the Landmark status. Plus Interest.

What exactly do I want them to do? Simple. Call the Alderman they already have in their pocket and ask what is needed and relay the message. Which is basically the minimum they could do and would ever do.

Ricketts should kick in negotians with Rosemont and end all the nonsense.
Enough is enough. Reinsdorf can move his team to Wrigley.

Ricketts feels like I have every single project I have ever done in the city!

The only difference is that I didnt hire a Crain Moron to handle it for 5 years @ $5 Mill a year to get the project nowhere! I can get nowhere on my own!

Eventually, every project got done, approved, finished, etc but not without amazing pain and brain cramps!

We've been over this so many times on this board. The really smart people should have hired really effective people. The pitfalls were obvious and the road to approval was fairly straightforward. They had a good firm on retainer from the triangle development proposal. Why not just let them handle this negotiation?

Jimmy, anyone you know could have got the Bears deal done after Jerry made his calls.

I believe the Sox got $36 mill more for renovations in that $600 mill, Soldier Field renovation package. Thats the stuff you dont hear about.

Agree, it is my issue with Tommy Boy, I am paying for him to learn how to own a baseball team. I believe he wants to win, he will spend what he needs, meanwhile....we pay for his education.
