Way too convenient. I'd have believed them running across an untapped Wal-Mart more than finding a bullet making factory.

They're in the south, right? It's more believeable that they'd come upon a place like that doen there more so than in say New York or something.

I'm just patiently waiting for Carl's poison-dart-shootin- eye to make an appearance.

Losing patience.....

It was alright. At least it sets up a potential big battle. Not sure what to think about the new
character yet. The tiger thing is a bit out there, why not give him a wolf or dog or something
more believable? How would they even feed that thing?

I really hope Jesus wasn't that stupid.

Because you could see that coming from the moment he talked to Kal.

It's all part of the plan. I think Jesus was counting on someone to go to Negen. I just think he wasn't counting on it being Kal.

Part of the plan is for Negan to find out, most likely. I'm guessing this is going to be a pretty complex plan. At least I hope...

So did the comics get better? I stopped around the early 90s. Just kind of lost interest. Wondering if I should pick back up.

Gearing up for a big battle.

It may be worth it to catch up...

You haven't missed a whole lot but this battle could determine the fate of a lot of characters so like KI said,
you might want to try to catch up.

Hopefully the payoff isn't like the TV season 3 finale. Two shooters scare Negans guys away. Negan kills all his guys in a fit of rage. Fade to black...

I really hope not. They are finally at a point where they can make things really interesting.

Anyone know where I can read the comics? Scribd or whatever no longer works (for free, at least).

How far along are you issue wise? I have been reading most of the newer ones on YouTube which works well if you
know what issue you are on, but not sure how far those go back. I preferred the Scribd method myself.

I left off in the early 90s, I think.

I would give youtube a shot. It can be a pain when there is a lot of dialogue to pause it but overall it is
pretty smooth. I am pretty certain you will find what you are looking for.

People have collections posted on the internet of several issues.

I'm pretty sure I found one that included 50 - 100 or something. After that, Youtube is your best bet...

I was going to go back and pick up the comics and read them online. Was going to start at about book #100 when Neegan comes into the picture.
I didn't get much further into the comics after they met the guy with the tiger. Is the comic worth catching up on?

#100 would be a good one to start at.

I'm up into the 130s or so. Missed the last 3-4 probably.

It's not bad. I'm not a comic book person so I can't really compare it to anything. I just like to keep up on the characters. But I don't think anything amazing happens. It's more about character than action.

Thanks Doc. I found this site to read and is pretty easy to navigate. I didn't like reading them on YouTube. I like taking my time with the dialogue and looking at the drawings.

Anyone know or have a guess when Negan is gonna show up? Maybe the mid season finale? That would be a good stopping point assuming the confrontation is similar to the comics and Glen gets his head bashed in with Lucielle. I've been hanging onto hope that Glen would avoid his comic fate, but the editing and blatant foreshadowing aren't giving me too much hope of that.

Last season there were a couple scenes with Glen and a baseball bat. First he picked one up in one scene, forgot when it was. And then of course the tease with the Ternimus Babe Ruth standing behind Glen getting ready to go yard right before Carol saved the day.

Now, this season we have some editing that isn't looking good for Glen. For starters, there has been some focus on his soft side in his rehab of Nicholas. Characters going soft is never a good thing on this show. Also, he wanted Maggie to stay behind because I'm assuming she is pregnant. That's one less thing that Glen needs to do before checking out. Also, him dying would give Maggie a chance to spread her wings and develop into the leader she becomes in the comics (and they are following that path on tv with her political involvements at Alexandria).

Been a long time since someone as close to the core of the show died, I think we're due.

I also think mid-season. I thought the foreshadowing was always Kirkman fucking with us and it would Daryl and not Glenn since they always seem to want to change everything a little bit. Then, Morgan would take over as the #2 guy.

But I also think Maggie is now pregnant and I don't see Glenn fitting in with that.

I'm putting it -

70% Glenn (would be dramatic)
25% Daryl (would be super ballsy)
5% Morgan/Abraham (would be a cop out)

Yeah that makes sense.

Mid season is a great spot to do that.

I do think it will be Glenn.

I don't see any scenario where Daryl dies anytime soon. Way too much of a fan favorite. Also, and this may not mean anything, but he seems to be the most popular cast member off screen, at least that's the impression I got from seeing behind the scenes footage all these years. Might be hard to write him off the show when he's best friends with everyone?

I think Abraham could be the one that has the 25% chance. After all, he also dies pretty soon in the comics and his death in the comics was pretty unspectacular and IMO unnecessary. He's been getting a lot of character development screen time in the first couple episodes and appears to have taken Sasha's place this season as the one in the group most likely to lose it. I could see a development arc where he wrestles with his inner demons before eventually finding peace and a desire to live only to have his head bashed in 10 minutes later by Negan.
