Unfortunately for Berns he has damaged his reputation & many in Radio & TV don't want anything to do with his brand of vitriol. Berns was once a rising broadcasting star. That star is now flickering. He could end up like North or Murph.

He's doing just fine and will continue to do just fine. Now granted, he may never put on another entertaining radio show in his life, but he'll always be in enough good graces where it counts to keep doing his job and remain highly compensated for it. You don't spent 25 hours a week minus commercials saying "fuck the poor" so you can jeopardize your standing with the executives in a major corporation.

I think he's making a calculated risk/move with these "important" gay shows and whatnot, like, since he's doing "transcendentally important" stuff they won't fire him or move him.... he'll just hang out at the score forever doing variations of the same show til the kids are through college. it only matters what timeslot they want their FOTS in. he'd be stupid to move.

btw on twitter this morning i lamented that my cellphone (rightfully) autocorrected "gay" to "way" and that nobody should tell bernstein... ha. my phone = bigoted in its heart.

Dan is liberal in the sense that he would give a homeless man food, but only leftovers, and only as long as the homeless man stayed at least ten feet away at all times. He would then chastise the rest of America on Twitter for not being so kind to the less fortunate.

At first, the idea of comparing Bernstein to North and Murph was pretty dumb, but then I started thinking about it. While North is a "national" host right now — something Bernstein aspired to be at one time (maybe still does) — it's only for a few hours on Saturday and Sunday nights. And Murph is out of work. Maybe when Boers retires this ball game is over?

Bernstein/North is actually a dead-on comparison. They both captained good radio shows until they started believing their own hype and thought they could get away with doing whatever they wanted as enabled by a circle of faithful lickspittles. They both went from being fairly ordinary guys to mouthpieces for billionaires. And they're both racist.
