"Old Kentucky Home" sound right? Hickman had one outstanding season in 1970 and hit a lot of clutch homers on that team.

I don't think they used walk-up music in the era that Hickman played

I found it!!! I was close,wrong state....read below!

Jim Hickman always seem to go about things in a quiet, professional way, like Billy Williams did.
Whenever I hear his name, in my head I hear Wrigley Field organist Frank Pellico playing the Tennessee Waltz.

Does anyone remember any "theme songs" for any of the other players?

Mike,Here is an even more obscure Cub question for your dad.

Who was the last Cub to come to bat with a soft cap and not a batting helmet?

(Hint: he platooned with Hickman in '69)

Fun fact.....It was Jim Hickman that got the hit in the All-Star game that drove in Pete Rose on the play where Ray Fosse was injured in the collision at home plate.

I thought Tony Taylor played for the Cubs in the late 50s? The answer I was told is Willie Smith.
