Man...the Palatine one is closing? I used to go there to eat when I wanted mediocre food and overpriced beer.

There are a few actual "locals" that hang out there every night. I stopped going when they started talking to me.

What is up with the terrible poetry on the side of the tilted kilt waitress'. It's like they got all of the girls that were too skanky for Hooters. I was only at the one in Vernon Hills once but every single girl in there had at least one terrible tattoo. And most were liketranslucently pale.

It's kinda funny that there is on in Vernon Hills. Residents essentially removed the Hooters years ago.

Yeah I remember the Hooters doing pretty good business there and then being gone and replaced by On the Border I think? And now that is something else too. Although one isn't lacking for mediocre chain food options in that 60/21 area.

They built a Jason's Deli next to the On the Border, which is awful btw. There are plenty of places in Mundelein to get a great taco.

I've still never been there or the Jersey Mike's that is up the street....with a Pot Bellies in between and Bill's Deli further down Milwaukee Ave.

I swear that Vernon Hills rivals the Mecca and Naperville as most restaurants per immediate state highway right of way frontage. (21 & 60, 59, 72 -53/90, etc...)

It's funny because if a restaurant sucks in VH, it's gone quickly. I have a feeling the common element in all of these cities/villages is the malls.
