Right now, if Terry decided to retire, I bet Laurence is in the in-house choice to work with Dan B. every single day. I don't call the shots at The SCORE, but I bet they think very highly of him...

They didn't do NIU buckets, though. It was only football. Now the Score is gonna be pretty much mostly games on weeknights for the entire year. Guess that shows you what they think of that shift for sports talkin'

No, I'm pretty sure they carried the occasional NIU basketball game. They have the same MIGHTY VOICE doing hoops. He's not very good at it.

Beardown, you are correct. NOT one NIU Men's Basketball game via the IMG/NIU Radio Network aired on The SCORE this past winter. To use a common term used on this program, NIU was bad at basketball.

DePaul needs to build a new arena so they can be good again because that's exactly what will happen oh oops NIU

You might be right. They did a few, but they didn't do all of them. They're obviously gonna do all of the Illinois games.

They'll need more than a new arena to revive that sorry ass program up there at DePaul!

Oh, I know. Just sarcastically poking holes in the whole "DePaul needs a new arena at McCormick Place" idea, which is a bad idea.

NIU would be one hell of a reclamation project, I gotta say. Maybe for his next conquest, Sports Media Mogul and Father of the Year (or at least a year) David Kaplan can return to his roots and coach the Huskies back to victory in their nice new-ish arena.

I saw Q Richardson hitting a few shots in garbage time during the Knicks Pacers game the other night so obviously DePaul buckets is totally fine.

DePaul should build their new arena near their Lincoln Park campus, even though it's my understanding that real estate prices in Lincoln Park might be too pricey. Traffic around McCormick Place and Soldier Field on Bears' gamedays are a real bitch to begin with.

I don't think it's at all unreasonable to build something like what Loyola has. I'm sure that can be shoehorned in somewhere. Maybe that would mean having a really steep rake, but hey, there's not enough of that anymore.

Doug Gottlieb sounded distracted during that 5:20-ish CBS Sports Minute. There must have been an unattended wallet nearby.

I never tire of Dan thinking that everyone that lives outside of Chicago are "country folk" that I picture him thinking walk around shirtless, barefoot, and chewing on straw.

Living south of 80 I can confirm that I am a backwoods incestuous hobgoblin of a human being who actively feeds on feces and cannot read.

That was pretty funny if you were listening carefully. He acts like there are no other significant urban areas in this state....just kids shooting at bushels attached to flag poles

Rural America sucks everywhere, not just Illinois. No jobs, anyone with half a brain moves away. University towns are the only oases. Hot chicks live there.

Rural America: Where the government pays white people to incarcerate black people.

Hey, those are good jobs!! Where else can you make $20/hour and get sprayed with sputum on a daily basis? (rhetorical question, OK?)

I really enjoyed the Illini Caravan segment. B and B certainly did not treat them with kid gloves.

North between the river and expressway used to be a great place before it became a corridor to yuppie heaven

It was a good segment. Terry actually sounded engaged and not like someone just nodding along, barely aware of what's going on around him.

Lincoln. There's a city in this state that doesn't get enough shit. Bleak as fuck. Makes Springfield look lively.

You haven't lived until you visit Cairo. If the state needed an enema, this is where they'd stick the hose. I thought I was in the backwoods of Alabama. It's a really fucked up place. There's a lot of white trash in my nape of the neck, but this was a reality show waiting to happen. Legit scary.
