Today is one of the days the brothers are good in Dan's world.

I think what the Bulls were saying by their play in the March game and in the other games they played the Heat is that they're not going to allow Miami to dunk on them when they are in the open court. LeBron James runs the opposing players over and he should expect a harder foul because he tries to get a 3-point play when he is moderately fouled. There is a difference between a hard foul and a flagrant. These guys will score on you if you don't wrap them up.

I have always thought that Miami is a bunch of crybaby goons. Haslem is a thug, Anderson was playing like a thug last night and Wade is a whiner and he committed a flagrant 2 last year with a body check against the Pacers. LeBron is not so much a thug as he is a whiner and prone to lose his cool in some of these games. There were plenty of fouls by Miami that were not "basketball" plays last night, but the Heat got the benefit of the doubt with the officiating and they were able to keep scoring at will. The Bulls got in foul trouble and could never really recover.

Where the Bulls went wrong was Noah trying to rip the ball from LeBron, Nate talking too much smack, Gibson losing his cool and Teague picking up a technical on a chest bump. The Bulls are just in a tough spot because they have a limited number of players available and their margin for error is much less than the Heat because the Bulls shoot a lower percentage.

I call it as I see it. Besides, whenever I see Sam Smith get face time, he looks not just like Stan Lee, but he looks ready to hit the golf course rather than talking Bulls' basketball.

I meant Sam Smith looks like he's ready to golf whenever he's on my TV...

I liked when Chuck Daly would ask the collective 820 audience to look at his watch.

Anyhoo, Bernstein's incessant ball washing of LeBron is just, well it's enough already. We get it, DAN, you love the guy. He's a once in a lifetime freak of nature. He does little tiny things in games that, if anyone else did them, would be headline news the next day. HOLY CRAP, did you see how he inbounded that at the 4:40 mark of the 2nd quarter? BIG. BOY. BASKETBALL.

I've never really heard the utter disdain that these two have (for their callers) from anyone else in radio. It's unfortunate, as they are uniquely funny and entertaining - I don't know why getting disgusted, exasperated and generally angry at callers = good radio to them? I get it, meatheads call in, and Dan feels like it's his job to dress them down and mock them....with Terry right behind, echoing whatever it is Dan just said, being sure to repeat it five times before they can move on to the next victi....I mean, caller.

Also, Terry has been doing radio as long/longer than his (now) prolific writing days...right? I barely recall Terry as a writer, and he certainly NEVER stood out as a great one in anyone's mind (at least that I can remember). It is such a lazy crutch for him to blindly blurt out "oh yah, let me just say that I covered that team and, well, let's just say there was some, well, there was some stuff going on". He has zero credibility, as his "guys" certainly don't exist and his recollection of his glory days of writing is certainly as revisionist as they come. He's a guy with a decent sense of humor who apes Letterman's style and relies on fake sources and made up memories to get him through each day's show.

At this point, he's almost playing a character. And it's a thoroughly unentertaining one. Is he prepping for his role in Talk Radio 2?

SHARK doesn't have Dish Network. SHARK has DIRECTV.

If it's the White Sox, they're off until Anaheim pays U.S. Cellular Field a visit tomorrow. The other kind of Sox, as in Red Sox, host the Twins. It's on NESN for Red Sox fans, FS North for Twins fans and the MLB Extra Innings package. Hope that helps.
