Somehow I have managed to never hit a motorcyclist on the road. I didn't realize how impressive that was until I read this thread.

Are you fucking kidding me? 90% of the jag offs on motorcycles drive like ass-fucks. And everyone else is supposed to look out for them while they weave in and out of traffic? These ass-fucks drive on the shoulder & in between lanes when stuck in a traffic jam for crying out loud.

To top it all off, some state employee has the nerve to promote the campaign by putting the message on the (4) completely useless digital message boards they recently installed on I80 between Rt.30 and LaGrange? FUCKKKKKK WHAT A WAIST OF TAX PAYERS MONEY!! The board reads two messages: "Start seeing motorcycles" and they report the current number of casualties on Illinois roadways to-date. I hope all 330 deaths this year are motorcycle riders!

I also saw these signs recently - it seems to be suggesting that cars change in/out of lanes need to be careful in case a motorcycle is near to avoid an accident. Has there been a wave of accidents where car drivers cut off a motorcycle? What is the responsiblility of the motorcycle rider - should they be allowed to drive on shoulder and in between lanes as you suggested, if that increases risk?

Not really related to the PSA douchebagging but past two days I've seen 6 motorcycles on the road with one having two people on it. Not one helmet. :?

Cutoff twice this morning by the same assbag motorcyclist because he just couldn't stay in his lane. Weaving in and out like his destination was more important than the rest of ours. So glad the onus is on me to watch out for people like this who ride recklessly.

Nice to see that you've moved on from the tatoo/penis size talk to actually, you know, discuss motorcycles.

Not really moved on, it was more of an addendum to my previous post. Still have the same stance. Sorry that my thoughts on people who ride motorcycles bothers you so much.

What is your stance on people in cars/vans/SUVs that weave in and out of traffic and can't stay in their own lane?

I'm thankful they drive a vehicle that is easy to see and I can adjust accordingly.

jackref doesn't have the same problem you have. He's not only able to see the motorcycle, he can spot the tatoos and crotch bulge.

Dennis Sullivan Special to the Tribune

An Orland Park man who posted a videotape of himself on an Internet video site taunting police as he rode through the village on his motorcycle was sentenced today to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated fleeing and eluding police.

Cook County Associate Judge Carmen Aguilar sentenced Justin C. Jachimiec, 23, of the 15400 block of Tulip Court during a hearing at the Bridgeview Courthouse on the charges, which are Class 4 felonies, punishable by up to three years in prison, according to Cook County State's Attorney spokeswoman Tandra Symington.

Jachimiec will be credited for the approximately seven months he has already served in Cook County Jail.

The charges stem from two separate incidents.

On Nov. 19, 2011, Jachimiec, wearing a helmet equipped with a video camera, drove a motorcycle on the 7300 block of Wheeler Drive above the posted speed limit, disobeyed numerous stop signs and drove over lawns before riding on one wheel past a marked patrol car and taunting officers who were making an unrelated traffic stop.

He disregarded orders to stop, fleeing the scene.

On March 13, 2012, Jachimiec drove the motorcycle in the area of 159th Street and LaGrange Road and 94th Avenue, weaving between vehicles, driving onto sidewalks and then back onto the roadway while ignoring orders to stop given by officers in marked police cars.

"At one point the motorcyclist accelerated past a marked police car while doing a (one-)wheeler for approximately four blocks," according to a prepared statement by Orland Park Police. "The marked police cars did not pursue the motorcyclist when he refused to stop due to the recklessness of his driving and public safety."

Jachimiec later uploaded videos of his adventures on YouTube, using the name "wheelerdrivebandit" and "Orland Ghost Rider."

Orland Park Police detectives, executing a search warrant on March 14, 2012, at an address on Juanita Drive in Orland Park, obtained evidence that led to Jachimiec's identification as the motorcyclist in both incidents.

Detectives later that day recovered the motorcycle, helmet, and camera Jachimiec had used, and later determined the motorcycle had been reported stolen from a home in Laona, Wis. in June 2011.

You seemed to easily see this bike TWICE and adjusted accordingly. You even noticed it was LOUD. Did you see it first or hear it?
