Yeah, he's reaching Rip Hamilton levels of ineffectiveness.

Seems like you haven't been doing it lately. No worries. There's a shelf life on every gimmick.

Pacers offense worries me. They will have to manufacture points in Miami.

Just like the Bulls, even with Rose. Not sure if Granger would help, given his problems earlier this year of integrating his game with the offense.

Yes. They will need to take better care of the ball and maximize possessions. As weird as it sounds against Miami, they'll also need to push the ball and stay out of the halfcourt.

I think the Knicks are slightly better than the Lakers, slightly. The Knicks pretty much took the Nuggets roster plus a couple guys from Dallas and they're not much better. Relying solely on the 3 point shot is a recipe for defeat.

Sorry OKC, but I don't see how the Knicks advance. I think the nice regular season was a mirage of sorts; someone had to fill the power vacuum once occupied by the Celtics. The Bulls' regular season sweep of NY demonstrated how teams with the requisite athletes can methodically suck the life out of their offensive attack, something Indy's managed to do on and off this series.

I was never sold on the Knicks to begin with. What the Pacers are doing is outrebounding the Knicks and playing solid defense. Carmelo Anthony doesn't seem that interested in getting his teammates involved either.

Him dominating the ball has been his achilles heel for a while now. If he's not going to realize that at 28, then I don't know if he'll ever change. For all his accomplishments, dude hasn't won anything.

Melo's teammates need to get themselves involved by making a shot every now and then.

Agreed, they haven't been making shots. But we've heard this about Melo from some time now, perhaps most notably during D'Antoni's time with the Knicks. I don't think D'Antoni's a great coach, but that doesn't take away from the issue of Melo dominating the ball, irrespective of his teammates' shooting percentages. I actually like Anthony and want him to do well, so I hope he figures it out before its too late.

Chandler - Hothead, always crying (Unlike the first two, I wouldn't mind if he was on my team though)

Are you sure about Chandler being an unlikeable hothead? I don't recall any red flags when he was in Chicago, although you may remember more about him than I do. I remember him as an earnest, hard worker who finally figured it all out in New Orleans. As for crying, what NBA player doesn't bitch about the refs? :-)

I checked this out here: http://espn.go.com/nba/statistics/playe ... nicalFouls

You're right; he's made some appearances in the top ten list. I can understand why you'd categorize him as unlikeable. Personally, I don't mind. Get all the technicals you want, as long as your outbursts don't become the reason your team lost.

The Grizzlies' win comes with an obvious asterisk. I think the Spurs outlast them in the WCF and meet Miami in the Finals. Wade has some serious knee issues, so the Heat's chances probably depend on how much a gimpy Wade is able to contribute down the stretch.

Chandler is a hot head, fake tough guy and whines a lot to the refs. If he was an offensive threat he would be a fantastic all around player, but he's not.

The Bulls had their pick of Stoudemire, Boozer and Lee and they chose Boozer. I think they passed on Stoudemire because he's injury prone.

I like Mike Woodson, but he will probably be fired. The problem with the Knicks is that the team is built around 3 point shooting and they don't share the ball enough. Melo has a bad attitude and you need a star that sets an example rather than demanding the ball at all times.

Carmello will end up being a great #2 for a championship team

I don't know if Carmelo is capable of being a #2 on any team. Just like Iverson, his game doesn't really work well with deferring to a better player. At best, he needs to hope he gets a deal like Paul Pierce got when two perfect compliments showed up to play with him.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. He can play the Pierce or Allen role.

Actually Carmello and Dwight Howard might be a nice mix. Im just thinking of the player who can be the most dominant without having to score a ton.

That series is really entertaining, but I think the Warriors' inexperience will hurt them in the end. Inexperience already cost them a 2-0 lead in game two, so that's why I think it's Spurs - Grizzlies* in the third round.

That's likely not happening because the Knicks are already over the luxury tax and I don't think they will pay more to get a couple good players.
