Wasn't sure where to put this... I thought it might get a bit more traffic here.

I have fond but foggy memories of this board game as a yute, I was doing some Googling (not Goggling, you mults) and discovered they have a free trial version you can play leagues in online.

I'm waiting for a league to seed now, I thought I would try it out to sort of get my feet wet with the interface.

This seems like something we could do, join the same league or something and have a CSFMB division.
You can draft your rosters with an $80m salary cap and play, trade with whomever.

I prepared my auto-draft roster attempting to put Musial, Gibson, Pujols and a lot of studs from the '85 and '87 Cardinals on the same team.

I'll update this with the actual roster I get... it's challenging if you have a bunch of studs... you have to find stiffs that can fill out poisitional eligibility on your bench.

Want to put say, Santo on the same team with Dawson and Maddux? Yeehaw!

Is that a Wisconsin TsPeepers I see joined?

If we get 12 people, we can just form a CSFMB league.

We're playing a free trial version. All you need is an email

only need 1 team at this posting... we are playing with the ATG VII (All Time Greats 7) player set.

Peeps and I are in Free Trial League 346368

Let's just try it out... it's only a 21? game season with playoffs.

If we get 12 CSFMB players, we'll just make a new one (you might have to use a different email)

In an great finish the Musial Suspects came back in the top of the ninth and held on to win over the Wisconsin Speepers by a score of 6 to 4 at Comiskey Park '11.

Musial had the winning rally in the top of the 9th inning when they scored 4 runs on 3 hits. The key at-bat was by Jack Clark, who disappointed the partisan crowd when he belted a three-run homer (his 1st of the season). Todd Worrell pitched a perfect ninth to earn his 2nd save.

The victory was credited to Bill Dawley(1-0) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. Arthur Rhodes(0-1) ended up with the loss in relief.

After the game, it took a long while before Keeping Score emerged from his office. In a subdued tone he answered only a couple of questions. He concluded with, 'Fellows, sorry I'm not in a very talkative mood this afternoon, as I think you'll understand. I'm sure you'll find the banter a lot more light-hearted over in the Musial locker room.'

If it makes you feel any better, Clark went on the DL after this game. They actually have a DL on here, but I'm not too sure how it works.

I know. Jody Davis is out for 17 more games for me.

And Arthur Rhodes was cut!

Bum.

Still waiting on my league to fill... six open spots out of the twelve. WIS does fill faster than here for sure, but waiting to see how the gameplay is before I make my recommendation.
