Luckily the Heat shot a little better than 45% or it would have been a terrible game. I JUST WANT SOMEONE TO MAKE A BASKET!

Got in the car yesterday little past 4 and tuned in. They went from picking Urlacher's new slam piece to corn dogs to a deep fried hamburger wrapped cheese infused hog dog. A little sliver of old fun radio.

Today will be a no goot.

Big Boy Basketball is a ridiculous thing to say. It was an entertaining game, but it comes across as condescending when Danny Buckets breaks it down as the pinnacle of all basketball experience. Score hosts should stick to writing stories in the Trib about how the Hawks are going to sweep.

I cannot quite figure who are the bigger morons, the people who think it necessary to tweet while watching the game or the people who feel it necessary to read the tweets.

I'd say the award goes to the ones retweeting those tweets.

How is it different than reading one of his "columns" or listening to his show. It's just a different medium to share an opinion.

Well, Dan and Teary did invent the game of basketball.

Love your basketball analysis, Dan. What would I do without it?

and, of course you are correct. When I am out rolling in the Toyota with the sun roof down and Wiggle Worms blaring from the radio, I cannot help but think to myself "dolphin, you are one cool motherfucker!"

It's done in real time, which distracts from watching the subject of these thoughts. A column and show are also the product of, at least relative to instant analysis twitter, deeper consideration.

Not necessarily.....I didn't really get into horse racing until about a year ago. Before that, I wasn't calling people morons for liking horse racing. It just wasn't something that interested me at the time.

Take your boy Bernstein. When Twitter became all of the rage around 2010 or so, Bernstein didn't want to have anything to do with it. Once he got talked into it, you now cannot keep him off of it and it's the greatest thing since sabrmetrics!

That argument might work if I wasn't engaged in social media. Stick to the argument broheim.

I thought you were the one who has repeatedly said Twitter is dumb/there's no use for it/etc. it's like Spmack said, if it's not for you, fine. But why continually rail against it?

You didn't actively dislike horse racing. Your example has to be something that you both dislike and consider cool.

"Actively disliking" meaning you're out picketing? Or it could be another term for "wasting your time."

Continually? I wouldn't even grant you that I rail against it often.

There are many uses for Twitter. I am addressing one of them that someone else first brought up.

It's not a term for anything. I'm just using spmack's terms. I guess actively dislike would be the opposite of the passive ambivalence to horse racing in the past.

I'm saying with spmack that we are all "I don't like it so it's not cool" people by definition. If we thought it was cool, wouldn't we do it unless we were incapacitated in some way?

I do find Twitter pretty much useless in the hands of 99% of the population but I leave it open that it will develop. It's not like I said, "hey I've never heard of that thing so it sucks".

The comments don't disappear after the event you know? I read them this morning - so it didn't distract me from shit.
