Give this a try, KS. I've had it. It's good. The organic, vegan part of it has no bearing on the taste. And actually, this would be a good brewery to try if you're interested in anything non-MGD.

You can see yourself out. Add Palatine to the clusterfuck list of locations for our beer gathering.

I was waiting for the torch wielding hop crowd to show up.

Bells: Lager Of The Lakes is pretty solid.

Just about everything Bells produces is pretty solid.

I also wonder if one of Doug's CSFMB quirks is thread hijacking by others.

Yeah, somehow all threads these days turn into beer porn....not that there's anything wrong with it.

I don't understand all this beer jargon. IPA, stout, porter, hophead, etc.....

If I'm a Miller Genuine Draft guy, what kind of specialty type beer would be most like that, but perhaps a touch stronger?

Take one step at a time. Get some Sam Adams Boston Lager. Then drag your lazy ass down to the Stone Cellar and get the sampler.

Quirks? About this board?

1. I try not to post too often, much less try to get too argumentative, as the subsequent fallout would be equivalent to having diarrhea shotgunned down my throat out of an elephant's inflamed anus.

2. I read through the B&B daily threads before listening from their site at night, then marvel at how the halfway decent show I just listened to was apparently the worst thing to ever occur.

3. I appreciate the good taste in beer people have around here.

4. "Mark All Topics Read" gets clicked more than anything else while I'm at the CSFMB, at least during the Bears offseason.

While I'm at it, quirks be damned, I much prefer these "getting to know each other" threads to most of the other crap. Half of the most popular threads here are humongous mega-threads that no longer have any context, the rest are either one-off "here's what I think, and it deserves it's own thread" threads or are alley-oop threads designed to lure in anyone that might dare to challenge the consensus view (re: politics, Cutler, etc), lying in wait for the singular breath that triggers an avalanche of cloying cynicism and dismissal.

I pretty much have relegated myself to the wrestling section only. Its surprisingly the most civil and least dramatic section on the board.

But why, WR? That's one of the best posts of all time in CSFMB history. That's right up there with "4 Breaking Stories", "I'm too relevant", "Be nice mf'er", "Why are you posting this?" and others.

i don't have any of these problems because playing the "i'm 77% likely insane" card has it's fringe benefits.

maybe that's a quirk tho?

It's an all time moment on the board. I don't know why Ryan doesn't embrace it.

Trying to find my own way around it now. :)

After some banging around a bit, I managed to make a greasemonkey script to auto login and then redirect to the active topics screen if the system detects I'm logged out. Send me a PM if you want a copy of it (only tested on Chrome under Tampermonkey though.)

IB has the answer to that question below. The more things change...

I have embraced it...in the wrestling section. Overall the board is just not appointment reading like it used to be. I somewhat stand behind the ever-going inside board joke "two years ago."

Ryan, I still have that picture of you sleeping on the caravan coming back from the MJH golf outing 5 years ago...(5 years ago wow time flies)....

I think in honor of the board's 10 year anniversary, there should be a top 10 threads in CSFMB history. Maybe RPB, BRick, and KS can get it together.
