You could choose from many:

for me it was a late season game against the Falcons when Michael Vick was at the height of his abilities. This was a night game in December with the wind chill easily below zero. Vick, while still not being a great passer, was impossible to stop that year due to the combination of his running ability and passing. It was Urlacher's job to be his shadow that game. Urlacher was probably the only LB in the NFL who could legitimately be assigned that task. Anyway, Urlacher absolutely shut him down in an amazing display of his superior athletic abilities. Vick had nowhere to run, the wind didn't allow him to pass and the cold helped him to quit.

Boilermaker Rick remembers this night more for Orton coming off the bench at halftime to replace Grossman and bring the Bears back for a 6-3 deficit to a 16-3 victory.

I'll always go with the Monday night Arizona game. Our son was also born the same night.

Not a Bears fan, but the one that sticks out obviously is the Arizona game. Plus it was Jerome Boger's coming out party, too.

Definitely the other way around as I remember Moose Muhammad yelling at Orton for missing him on a few plays.

Orton played for the Bears?

Not so much a game but a moment. I remember a game where Warrick Dunn came into the seam up the middle and just completely gator armed a ball because he was terrified of the footsteps of 54 behind him. When he was in his prime Urlacher could close distance on a reciever over the middle in a hurry.

I would love to say that Urlacher was a transformational player, one that changed the position forever, but really, there has been no one like him.

That's pretty awesome....talk about a great night! 8)

You can always refer to the Dennis Green Press Conference now and say that he is who you thought he is.

My recollection of that night was just having walked out of a Walmart for cat food and whatnot.....not quite as memorable, but I do remember being dumbfounded by what had just happened according to Joniak. 8)

I also remember that Falcons game. There was a play where Vick saw Urlacher far away, looked away, and then, right as he stepped up, Urlacher had closed and brought him down. Vick looked at him in disbelief that he had closed that quickly.

GD that's the game Grossman came back from injury and threw the strike to Moose and the stadium went crazy. That was Orton's rookie year.

Arizona game stands out for me. He made play after play.

He ran sideline to sideline and chased him down. Only LBer in the NFL that could have done that.

His signature game will be Lovie Smith playing him in a meaningless game in Minnesota where he tears up his knee. He was a fantastic player up until that game. I think there is a lot of love for his ability and rightly so, but he was a guy who didn't care what the fans thought.

Even Urlacher admitted his knee was never the same after that injury. Safe to say that Smith cost him 1-3 years off his career with that decision to leave him on the field.

The other game that sticks out to me was the Packers game with the dislocated wrist. That was the opening game of the season and he was out for the whole year.
