I know I'm going to take a beating but he's been very cool to me the few times I've been around him. I think Spiegs is OK.

Oh well forget it then!

Seriously what's he gonna do? Kick you in the knee? Roundhouse kick to the face? He's been nothing but cordial when I've met him but that doesn't mean anything. I kinda do wonder what others at the station say because he comes across as a tremendous asshole at times and a giant douche on that youtube thing I posted.

I get what you're saying, spaulding and KS.

Some of the on air stuff is hard to defend, but I still think Mac and Spiegs is a good listen.

If I'm in the minority, so be it.

Most people are going to come off as nice in a meet and greet social setting. I don't think his on air persona is any kind of act. He seems weird, socially awkward, arrogant, elitist, defensive, paranoid, bitchy, stubborn, smarmy and strange all at the same time. No one would ever want to "act" that way. He also comes off as extremely petty when he big leagues the producers or interns.

Spaulding hit on something I have been saying about him for a while.... He isn't a guys guy. He is not one of the guys at the bar. He just isn't and never will be. He is the guy at the wine bar taking in some poetry and live jazz while watching a ball game on his slingbox ipad setup. That is just fucking weird.

Seriously? Come on, now!

Yes and it would be okay if he seemed like a dork, but he seems like a jerk.

ES is his special odd friend. ES is all fluff and stupidity so it fits but really how could you like his calls?

I try every week and can't listen for more than 5-10 minutes. And I don't have W&S now! What's a girl to do?

The tennis club kid comes through on some of the things he takes for granted in his life.

I cannot believe this is the guy you stick up for. Check this video out at the 4:00 minute mark and on.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_qJ0dKdJ5LQ

There is nothing genuine about him. He is in no way a guy's guy. He's so deep, and he grandstands with it. He is touchy, sensitive, sacchrine, and smarmy. He seems to have the impression that everything he does is special and ground breaking. He's like a one year old that claps for himself when they put a ball in the shape sorter for the 80th time that day and I'm suppose to have the same enthusiam he does.

He is a constant show of fluff while trying to come off as witty and intelligent. As if he has it all figured out and we are meandering idiots way beneath him. He's the guy that comes in first in the pine wood derby every year because he spends 6 hrs a day for a week putting graphite on the wheels and then won't tell you the secret.

Worst part is that he seems to have rubbed off on mcneil. If he didn't say he had a dog I'd have bet dollars to paczkis that he had at least 10 cats, and a threesome with 2 guys.

He really is a less likeable version of Harry. I don't give a shit what you say, they have the same amount of talent. You like those early score days and I don't know if you look at him fondly because of that or what?

Oh don't shit on his joy! There is no joy to be had with this guy, he's serious and deep!

Maybe bigfan can chime in and then again maybe not but you got to be kidding me! He's tiring to listen to.

I watched for about a minute then felt the immediate need to vacate my bowels.
As someone who probably has an irrational dislike for this guy, considering I don't listen to the show he's on, I just really want to
punch him in his stupid face.
Completely insufferable.

Silvy is better than the 2 of them, they get better guests, do better interviews, and discuss sports typically.

Spiegel doesn't work well with others. Easily gets offended by harmless slights. Definitely get a kick out of Rozner or Mac pushing his buttons. Though, for whatever odd reason Spiegel and Goff was damn good shit.

He really needs to be done in July. Take a gig at XRT, keep putting on tributes and he can come on a few score shows during baseball season as a guest...hell he can have hit and run back once a week. The current format is insufferable.

They did a kick ass Allman Brothers-esque jam.

Nothing better than a great live show.

Nothing odd about liking the Meat/Goff work, Kirkwood, they were a really good pairing. The show had good flow, good back n' forth, sprayed to all fields and was a fun listen.

That video was a something. Is that the "cosmic live experience" that the poster named El Furpyo was talking about?

Good find Spaulding. You are now off the hook for posting for another 6 months.
