You would never hear that on the Score, especially not from 9-1. NEVER.

I dont listen to Mac.

I find it interesting because many of the B&B lovers are also card carrying Crew members.

I think it's possible that the afternoon show has been beset by an Anti-Crew backlash.

It was obviously our ReVolution that turned the tide.

Im posted a similiar thought in a B&B thread 2 years ago. Before they were officially a "Crew"

They will try and blame it all on Douchebag, but the fact remains that the collective stench is slowly drawing down a once proud radio franchise.

It wasn't until after my ReVolution that such long time Berns and Boerstein stalwarts like CoF and Kid Cairo felt safe in distancing themselves from the show.

I'm kind of like a hero.

I have never heard Bernsie say that -- doesn't mean it wasn't uttered.
Bernsie uses hyperbole to spark discussions, but I don't believe he frames conversations to please others. I don't think Dan takes himself that seriously. He's said that several times. Maybe he's lying.

Are you a family member or friend of Bernstein's?

Hardly. I just dare to say that I enjoy it -- still.
Several years ago, I would normally bash Mike North's show on this site, but then I realized the folly of my ways. Why continue to bash a show and talk about PTFB if I still sounded like I was normally tuning in? I stopped listening and posting about it.
I would suggest the same for those who don't care for B and B. Move on with your lives, listen to Silvy and Waddle, talk about how that show is awesome.
Also, I have been critical of B and B in the past. I'm hardly an apologist. I just dare to still like the show, and I just don't agree with all of the criticism spewed in their direction.

I enjoy listening from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday.
I feel like a "Chicago baseball fan", misunderstood because I like both the Cubs and the Sox. I'm not chided for defending Mac and Spiegs, but I am a flat-out B a B family member because I disagree with a poster about that show.

Does anyone see a difference between what B and B did with Penn State, Lance Armstrong talk and ESPN's Tebow coverage?

I don't know if I understand the comparison correctly, but Bernstein seems to see himself as some sort of intrepid reporter asking all the tough questions other journalists are either too stupid or too scared to ask. He also has this fascination with false idols (Jordan, Armstrong, Paterno, etc.) that he loves to rip apart, which isn't a problem per se, but he really goes out of his way to expose certain folks for what he thinks they really are.

ESPN runs with Tebow because he draws attention. And most if not all of ESPN's Tebow coverage is not designed to rip him to shreds, which is pretty much Bernstein's M.O when he feels like it. There was a Deadspin article about ESPN and Tebow awhile back that talked about the company's fascination with all things Tebow. I don't think what ESPN did with Tebow, and what Bernstein does with his targets, are comparable.

I think ESPN and other sports outlets nationally followed Tim Tebow's every move as if he was God. I found all the Tebow coverage when Timmy got a great deal of attention in Denver absolutely over the top & unnecessary. He wasn't the reason why the Broncos were a playoff team 2 years ago on the last day of the 2011 regular season. It was their defense.

Stories were written about why this happened. Quite simply, the ratings for shows that talked about Tebow went up significantly. It was nothing more than that- ESPN realized people wanted to hear about Tebow.

I was just wondering if both situations were seen as making news rather than reporting news. That's it.
