60 Minutes doing a segment on the doubling of disability clainmants from 6 mil to 12 mil under since President Obama took office.

Pretty much every person they talk to agrees it's basically folks who ran out of the 2 years of unemployment and didn't want to get a job.

Looks like the whole industry is a way for unscrupulous doctors and lawyers to submit and back up bogative claims as they get paid by the government if the claim succeeds. Something like $1 billion a year in attorneys fees alone were paid by the Fed government for disability claims last year.

This aw-shucks I'm a simple country bumpkin lawyer from Kentucky has collected $13 million in atty's fees from the government in recent years, paying out $2 mil to doctors (reimbursed by the government if they succeed) to sign off on the disability claims:

Not all that shocked at this. After a certain period of time you will get a permanent welfare class.

While the story did say people agree that the increase was due to people running out of unemployment it hardly stated that the people did not want to get a job
